a Baldur's gate MMO would be the tightest shit ever!

forgotten realms is awsome. star wars has been done it failed...

if all the characters of the BG mmo were bhaal spawn battling for supremacy it would be blood-orgy-tastic!

and the lord of murder shall perish... in his wake he will spawn a score of mortal progeny

D&D 3rd edition stinks IMO with the exception of the D10 they used for KOTOR.  Baldur's Gate used 2nd edition rules and was a great game, but Wizards of the Coast wouldn't allow them to use an old ruleset.  They probably wouldn't allow them to use Forgotten Realms either as they want their new setting to become popular.

I really hope it's KOTOR, but if its not.  Then definately Baulders Gate MMO.  Then we might actually get a MMO based on D&D that isn't awful.  *looks over at D&D Online*

    In War - Victory.
    In Peace - Vigilance.
    In Death - Sacrifice.

As a star wars junkie and ancient SWG player.. i'd love to put my vote down on Kotor.

However, at the same time.. a Mass Effect MMO would be really interesting! Though doubtfull.. Afterall... the Xbox singleplayer game hasn't even been released yet, so they have no clue as to whether or not an MMO would be a huge hit.

All i can say is that i just hope Bioware keeps to its fairly common Sci-Fi trend. Tired of all these fantasy MMOs... enough with the dancing elves!

Baldurs Gate would rock but there is so much fantasy game so It would be dead so fast imo

Or take the lead spot (before WoW = neat profits), which non-fantasy titles are unlikely to ever do IMO.

D&D would really be a good move, if WotC is not binded to Turbines (all the better if it can't be Eberron IMO).

Fallout 3 is been done by Bethesda...and I would personnally feel safe to dismiss any LA association atm.  Yet, even if they say they are free and working on their own (not been heavily supervised), I wouldn't dismiss a D&D product with this comment, I don't think WotC would heavily supervised them, in fact, I think they grant Turbines as much freedom as they would have for BioWare and we see the results...niak niak niak.

Until the release date (2009) the players who are waiting for a better fantasy game (I mean the players dont like and play Wow and the other billions of fantasy games ) would taken by Warhammer and Age of Conan already. There is really huge demand for sci-fic MMOs and Bioware is not stupid, a fantasy title will really blow in their hands.

Honestly, a Shadowrun MMO would be the best idea yet.  Since they're making Mass Effect for the 360 and Microsoft owns the rights to Shadowrun and is actually letting the license being used, even if it is being wasted (just my opinion), then I think there's a chance Bioware could be making that, though probably doubtful.

I guess the only saving grace is that SoE will never make a Shadowrun MMO.  But with World of Darkness Online coming out in 4-5 years, there will be a need for a near-future cyberpunk type MMO.  I mean there is Fantasy MMOs, and there is a few Sci-Fi MMOs (and definitely more coming out), but there is really no present day/near-future MMOs.  The closest you could say is CoX, though that falls more into the Comic/Superhero series of MMOs, since there is more of those coming out like Marvel Online/DC Comics online.

Shadowrun would be a perfect setting too.  Especially with Microsoft in Seattle, right where a lot of the Shadowrun events go down (at least in the new novels.)

Shadowrun  Seattle - Online, now that would be nice.  Orc, Elf, Dwarf, Human, Troll.  All the different classes that are possible with hacking, cybernetics, street samurai, magicians, shamans, etc.  It's fit the mold quite well for an MMO if you ask me.

Though Bioware would be one of the companies that would/could do a good job on a Shadowrun MMO.

Jade Empire was by far their best game in my opinion. I loved every minute of that game. I chose Jade Empire on the poll but only on one condition, if they kept the action oriented gameplay almost exactly as it was and did not dumb it down at all. Can't wait to see what it really is.

P.S. No offense guys but don't you guys get your fix of Star Wars games on the 100 other types of games already including one that is already an MMO? A new Star Wars game is about as bland as a new WWII shooter.

    Eternally mine,

i saw this a long time ago before i registered on here.  i was suprised that few people really vote.  i wonder how many actually read these forums and things. it says a lot of people online and members but not sure if that is accurate.

Boycott EA Games. RIP Sim City.

Personally I would like to see KOTOR3.  With all due respect to Obsidian, they really botched KOTOR2.  The game felt incomplete and the story was rather murky, like it was done by someone unfamiliar with the first game.  They could round out the trilogy, then later relase the "trilogy pack" for an xtra quick buck.

there is no Kotor3 from Bioware. This is certain. They said it officially , you can check their star wars forums for that.
