If you don't want to read negative remarks refarding TR maybe you shouldn't be reading a thread entitled Do you feel that TR is on it's way out? Seems there are a bunch of unspanked only children trying their hand at de fusing a volitile situation here. You can't change an opionion by spamming It's great over and over again. My comments are drawn from experience I've gained from playing games, where as you freely admit to not playing anything at this time (making you an expert couch potato.). NCsofts track record regarding MMO's is and I believe will remain abysmal. I can save you tools some time in the future, copy all your posts into a file on your computer and replace all references of Tabula Rasa with Aion as these same posts will enevitalby wind up there too. These games are all pushed out with bugs and problems chasing the almighty dollar, they do not care or even try to make a decent game they do just enough to wet your appetite get a few months subscription from many people and then repete the process. Tabula Rasa is a thrown together copy of a half dozen other games already published with minor changes, this time they even shortened up the skill tree (saves paying programmers). They write up an exciting gameplay story (every NCsoft title falls short of what I've read in their description), they try to make it appeal to as many people as possible, and push like hell to make it and get it released asap. Now there's nothing wrong with trying to make a buck, I'm just not falling for it anymore. The bottom line is this... I want PC game developers and publishers (man up and take your share of the blame) to stop churning out garbage and make a great game one time that lasts instead of a bunch of games they started to create and quit a quarter of the way through. imagine a game with 4 times the work, 4 times the budget, and 4 times the manpower all working 4 times as long on one game. It would be a long time in the making but could easily surpass WOW's numbers. I also want magazines and websites to stop kissing advertisers butts and write objectivly (yes that one's a pipe dream). All you unspanked only child complainers about the complainers should start a complain thread or I'm going to give you a time out! I bet they post again as threatening a time out doesn't work prove me right POST! LOL.
Maybe just maybe you should actualy LOOK at the game for a minute, see what they have build, somehow i get the feeling some of you have this strnage way of looking at games, somehow it seems that games these day's seem very easy to make, i bet that about 90% of the people comming to fourms like this seem to have NO CLUE whatsoever what it takes to make a game like TR.
I said it before it seems that the new gen of player is only intrested in "how to get mx lvl asap"they do not look at a game , they do not look at the details as they rush thru them so they hardly notice, they only notice when something is NOT working but they totaly fail to see WHAT IS WORKING.
Also many seem to pretend to sit on this developerschair, many seem unable to give opinions from a gamersperspective, i see this at every section of every mmorpg on this website, people seem to totaly forget to have fun, but MEHHH fun seems to be history, something that seems not possible for some that imo seem to life in this fantasy world where they all know what is best for a game, but obviously have no clue in how to make them.
Once people will become familiar with the concept of gaming we might see better topics/reply's and whatnot coming to forums, but aslong people pretend they have more knownhow then actualy developers have i fear the day's of logic will still be lost for some time to come.
Let me make it clear: WE LIKE TO PLAY TR IT DOSEN"T MATTER TO US THAT YOU DON"T LIKE IT BECAUSE WE DO. WE ARE GLAD YOU DON"T PLAY, IT SAVES US HAVING TO PUT ALL YOUR ALTS ON /IGNORE. <modedit>
Let me make it clear to you:
Tabula rasa is dead on the vine, only a few people are playing and the game will be shut down in the near future.

Let me make it clear to YOU;
You do not have precognitive powers. Therefore, you have no idea of what the future brings. Also, bring actual evidence to back up your "only a few people are playing" comment. If you cannot, then, as we already suspect from your post history, you are fueling your TR bashing posts with hate rather than logic and facts. Thus, they're worth as much as a grain of salt.
I've watched the server pops the past few weeks. Has Centaurus been at "high" lately? In Nov-Dec it would reach "high" once in a while. Orion has ceased being above low, though a few weeks ago was regularly medium. Now Pegagus will be medium for a few hours at peak playing time. I don't believe Cassiopaea ever reached more than low.
What happened to the casual gamer who was going to play over his lunch hour?
And to visit a fan site like tr.stratics a few weeks ago, you'd see thirty people perusing the general info forum. Now you never see more than seven or eight.
Amazon has no indication of encouraging sales. RGTR didn't make the top twenty PC games for November, but Hellgate did.
NcSoft has pulled funding from an Austin developer it was doing buisness with--Spacetime Studios, resulting in a dozen layoffs. The layoffs from Auto Assault were sever last year, and came within a few months of release.
The CEO of NcSoft NA has been "promoted" and replaced.
But Japan is going to save them. (actually, I think Aion will be populat in Japan, but I doubt RGTR will be.)
Until you spread your wings, you have no idea how far you can walk.
I belong to the group that played various games together for over 10 years. Even before Win 95. So we are experienced gamers. We waited with great expectations for TR, joined beta, then continued into release, but somehow for whatever reason most people stopped playing it after initial sub expired. We won't say TR sux, for some people it may be great. But I see how people in my group simply loosing interest in it. Me including.
Just my experience.
P.S. I am still checking TR site periodically for any improvements to the game and thinking about may be giving it another try. And I saw free trail offer. That's how I ended up on this forum.
I bought the game after 3-day trial and it's awesome if you have a good pc. Theres a huge patch coming out jan 25th with many changes so it will improve alot.
All people are different. All expect different things. And nobody ever completely satisfied. I think that people who are bashing the game left and right do not completely dislike it, but want it to be better their way and they come up with a bunch of ideas. People who really don't like the game just quit and move to something else and don't bother making noise on the forums. Me and several of my buddies did just that. But we are still looking for possible improvements and may return to it later. I don't want to go into details, but initially this game looked just great. However after a month or 2 it became boring and we just stopped playing it. Naturally. People saying things like "...well, I want to play something else today instead" or " ...May be some other day I will join you." And most never came back. I, personally, don't have much patience for MMORPGs in general. But some MMORPGs kept my attention for many months before I lost interest. And in case of TR I lost interest unusually fast. I can't tell you what is the exact or main reason for that. And I don't want to analyze it. I guess it's a combination of all what was said about TR in this thread before.

I tried the trial and bought the game the next day. After that i've had a lot of fun until i hit mires. Then i started doing other things waiting for the patch. I read the patch notes and somehow it wasnt as much fun as i expected it to be. Nerfing item pool and no major bug fixes, at least nothing i cared about.
So anyway i already had canceled my subscription but i was planning on renewing it. I havent done so just yet and i'm currently between games playing Guild Wars. Sub actually expired today but i don't think i logged on this week.
-Would you like cheddar or swiss cheese? -Yes. -...
I always cancel my sub right after I subscribe and delete my credit card info. I just don't like the idea of automatic billing and someone having my credit card info on their site. These greedy bastards don't give you an option to subscribe just for one month. ..Well, not a problem. Just a couple of mouseclicks.

So you're saying that Guild Wars and COX were failures? Right...
Making TR the whipping boy for the whole industry? You have any idea how ridiculous that is?
You're living in a dream world if you think trolling here will change anything, you're just reducing your credibilty to new depths.

I think your crystal ball is broken. Was that before/after they release T.R in Japan that its shutting down?
