I noticed the route you took. AWAY from the Cantina areas where people normally are. Besides, with player cities and generally more players to be, you won't find it like the old days with Doctor buff Q's any more.

So back to the op slant, do you think that Kauri needs to be merged or is it fine as it is?
The server ques have defiantly been reprogrammed to a lower number there is no other explanation, how else can a server reach heavy yet you virtually see a handful of people. I don't know what you remember but I remember logging into a community one in which when you hit the city you'd lag just to load up all the ungodly amount of people in that one area. Keep telling us your re-hashed game is just fine and will watch it sink into quick-sand and eventually SOE will come along and finally straggle the life out of it.
You are scum Nikoz pure scum, I heard SOE was hiring might want to check that out, you fit the description quite well. Stop calling yourself vet, you lost that privilege when you sold your soul to the devil.
Gah I forgot you are too busy having pancakes and waffles with Obriak, enjoy the game you two *thumbs up*

This thread just made me download the SW trial eventho I had never an intention to play an old sci-fi mmorpg. The amount of idiots that consider themselves SWG vets and constantly bit^h about everyone that tries to defend the game is amazing.

Awesome what better way to waste 8hrs of your life patching a game with no life, I give you till the end of the day to realize your stupid mistake. When you yell hello in chat they say you can hear your echo :O.

Of course it has NOTHING to do with the fact the servers are dead lmao.
Give us a break. I've played on Bloodfin in the past 2 months, it's dead, and it's one of the most populated servers in SWG today.

Hilarious.
I miss the good ol' days when nerds were actually intelligent.
Woops, looks like AoC will not be the "SWG-Killer" that was predicted.
The AoC Launch Numbers
While the videogame media tossed around some big numbers at the AoC launch, including a major figure of 700,000 copies, the actual sales numbers were unknown, as Funcom could not/would not report any details beyond what they had shipped to retailers. A recent press release, however, has given us more details about what happened to these 700,000 copies of the game.
That's right, we have a rather unhappy picture as we near the "one month" point for Age of Conan.
* ~40% are still sitting on retailer shelves
* ~30% were bought and returned due to insufficient system reqs
* ~20% were bought and installed but canceled without subscribing
* ~10% were bought and set up a subscription to continue playing
Of the much-hyped 700,000 number, this leaves us with about 70,000 Active Players in the world of Hyboria.

Personally I am extremely unimpressed with the game and have little desire to try it. If the graphics were better, I might like it for titties, but who wants to look at ugly titties?

No offense old boy but even if you had hard facts to back this up, Id take it with a grain of salt as i know people that are playing it....
But in a good note i know no one that plays swg now lol

So...still tens of thousands more players than SWG. What are you trying to argue again? And what does this have to do with the lack of people on Kauri? Sounds like pure trolling to me.
apart from that website not saying where they got their figures from so I doubt its true
70,000 is probably a damn site more subs than galaxies has at the moment. Don't think I'm right well please enlighten me with your evidence of the sub numbers then

Don't hold your breath. The SOE Defense Squad gets really quiet when asked for proof that there are more than 7k SWG players.
There is no doubt server population is down. Period. Kauri definitely appears to be one of the biggest victims of no players.
Bloodfin and Bria do not have 2005 population numbers by a long shot... However, some people here post as if no one is playing. That is not true, I log onto both Bria and Bloodfin at very non-prime time hours (live in Australia) and I can tell you I can always find something to do.
What point are some of the disgruntled vets trying to prove? Population is down. You are right., You "win" I guess.
I do get irritated by those who attack people who still play the game. Why do you feel the need to crap on someone because the still enjoy the game.
I will not argue things that are true --- like low server populations. However, I think that claiming that Bloodfin is dead is a lie as well.
Oh and BTW I like VEA and all but always thought TMB was a much more respected Bloodfin Imperial Guild.
I liked the rebel guilds as well, I had a spy who fed attack times to corbin who at one time was in VOD CHOZN OIJ FATED and a few others...
I miss the old days when population was heavier but honestly, lots of people I knew left the game waaaaay before the CU, because, as Fisher pointed out the game was unfinished at release due to mismanagement.
All that being said, I would take a classic server in a heartbeat. Hopefully KOTOR 3 will be a good MMO and maybe SWG can be allowed to either fade away or at least stop being the focus of so much hostility.
Had the JTL been delivered at launch we wouldn't be having this discussion. Heck, we didn't even have player vehicles at launch. running to harverstors was always a blast...
But while it's true people left early, the populations throughout the Pre-CU were still large. The people didn't start leaving in droves until the CU hit. That's when populations become noticably smaller, on Lowca, Bloodfin, and Flurry (the servers I played on).
The CU is what caused the major issues. Now stop and think if SOE/LA had been SENSIBLE, and I realize that neither has been in some years, but if they had been reasonable they would have spent that 7 months of hard developing the NGE simply fixing and updating, and adding content to the Pre-CU SWG would be a factor today, especially with the industry growing weary of WoW-esque games.
Think of what SOE could have done to improve the existing game if they had allocated the time and resources spent building the NGE...
It's such an obvious and embarrassingly stupid mistake on their part that it's almost inconceivable that it happened. They could have saved their current subscribers, they could have attracted new ones, and quite possibly been well ahead of the curve TODAY because people are ready for the next level of game.
Had SOE improved PvP, added content to all the POI, made new expansions, and kept adding to the sandbox, SWG would easily have 500,000 subscriptions right now and be a major money-maker..
$OE doesn't need help from AoC for death...they are doing enough damage on their own.
Yes, the SWG 'killer' was the NGE, released in November '05 which caused the loss of over 200k accounts that were never recovered. It has been on life support ever since. I guess it comes down to how someone defines game 'death'. The plug being pulled? A majority of game servers being dead ordying? Forced server merges?
Every player that cancels SWG represents a larger percentage of player loss. AoC just seemed to push the declining numbers along, compounding the low population problem. Many players are leaving because of the low populations, and until $OE decides to actively address this issue, the problem will continue to snowball. It doesn't matter how well or not well AoC is doing - if SWG was a good and solid game, it wouldn't have the serious problems it has now.

Ok, PROVE that there are only 7 thousand players. Whats that? You can't? Oh, well...
If you think this game only has 7k subs, you are seriously delusional.
You are stating to believe you're own hype.
You call out others for lack of evidence, but provide none yourself.
Ironic, to say the least.
