Borrowing 5 million dollars dosn't mean anything. They could of borrowed the money for anything. If you beleive that darkfall are scammers, 5 million dollars is quite a scam.

    i dont get it.

It's a known fact that some of the vaportrolls are developers from other mmorpg titles, out to slander the competition and scare off potential players.

I mean really? I wonder if people ever use logic.

In order for this game to be vaporware, or a scam, the following must be true.

    1) All the videos, screenshots are all fake or created as an elaborate hoax. For what end who knows.

    2) The three first hand accounts, from varying times, and varying places. Are all also fictitious. Created, and staged by DFO. To cover up the fact there is no game. Again, for what end, who knows.

    3) A rather large Greek company decided to sign an agreement, form a new division, with doing absolutely no research, or demands to see the product,  into the company with which they are going into business with,

    4) That with the news that the Euro players are prolly going to start first. That they (DFO) are the absolute worst scam artists in history, As with that one move they effectively cut out over 50% of the people who would have bought this game. And once all the Euros say "This game isn't here!" or "It's terrible runnn!" there goes the American consumer. And thus all the scammed money they coulda got from them.

This game isn't a scam. It is going to launch. Who knows what will happen when it does. I say they have to be pretty confident to even consider a seperate launch. We will all know how this game is before we even have to purchase it.

I am afraid you are living in your own substitute reality.

Aye it sure was a shameful day when the Age of Conan developer Funcom were asking for forgiveness publically after one of theres Developers were making a fool of himself on Darkfall main board.

Wasnt his smartest move to use his computer at the Funcom office. IP numbers are traceable. =)

I admit that this is indeed a good time for Darkfall fans. Although I am a traditional "naysayer", I have never posted that this game is vaporware. Always believed it was in, at least, some kind of development.

    However...

    I caution some of you.

Gloating, calling people names and espouting, "See, we told you so!" is a tad bit premature. If I were you, I'd wait until you at least finally see the game. At least a beta announcement. Something, anyway.

Even though there seems to be good stuff happening, this project certainly has a jaded past history that could come back to bite you, so hold off on the gloating. My advice anyway.

No matter what positive news is going on at the moment, anything is possible with Darkfall, as many have realized over the years.

Got to admit, it looks like it may actual come out this time. Even I'm admitting that.

    BUT...

We may well be still scratching our heads, wondering, come end of year, still at the same exact point we've always been.

Just a few words of caution.

Aye, its starting to get hillarious. They seem desperate. And for what is the big mysterium. A game they dont like in the first place is gonna be released? In what way does it affects them? They arent interested.

Nah i think theyre payed by companies as Funcom that have in so many ways earlier showed us what theyre made of. As the Funcom developer that invaded Darkfall main board undercover talking shit about the game Darkfall. If other game developers felt the need for that kind of sneaky operations before id say its very likely they have some working known websites.

Well, you and Aragon will have earned the right to gloat, if it ever really comes out.

You two guys have literally spent almost every waking minute, on every known Internet forum, defending this game. You both have done it with dozens of logon names. No sooner does someone post anything even remotely negative, I see a post by one of you. You spend all day watching the Darkfall boards, just waiting to defend this game. I truly hope in the end it will be worth it.

You championed the cause, now we will wait and see.

Ultimately, time will reveal the true story.

LOL not honest? There havent been any more honest Developers then the ones developing Darkfall. If we should point out unhonest game developers then we should point the spotlight on Funcom. There you have the scammers and the thiefs. The ones that destroyed alot of MMORPG Developers credibility for the masses.

    Poor Vaporware trolls.

Just a heads up to all of you who registered for clan beta back in 2005.  Make sure your clan roster contacts and list is up to date.  Never know what may happen in the coming weeks.  ;)

    2) The bond is not for Darkfall. Stating that is the same as stating they are getting a new Board of Directors and issuing stock dividends because they signed an agreement to distribute.
    3) The original release stated the bond issue is to repay an existing loan (i.e. simply turning debt over). Find the original statement for proof. It is also 5 mil Euros, not dollars.
Hoping the game will release, and be halfway decent, is one thing, but coming up with some idea that AudioVisual is restructuring their company because they signed an "agreement" is absurd.

They are not restructuring their company, they are creating a new gaming branch inside the Company.

Reading is good for you... an Agreement is the same as a contract.

Issueing a $10,000,000 bond for a "gaming division" would qualify as restructoring.

An agreement is not the same as a binding contract. If one party backs out or cannot fullfill their side of the agreement (i.e. the game is never released), there is no harm. A contract generaly would specify penalities for late delivery, specifics on distribution, pricing, etc. There is no reason to believe the "agreement" has any penalties for non-compliance.

If there is no harm in one party not fullfilling it's side of the agreement, then neither party has to demonstrate their ability to fullfill it (i.e. Adventurine may not have had to prove the game is (nearly) ready to be released). If Adventurine doesn't come through, then Audio Visual looses nothing. If Audio Visual backs out, then Adventurine... well, they'd be screwed, but that's just part of being a small company dealing with big ones.

    wrong thread, sorry.

    Its the same company.

One is the english name, the other is the Greek name for same company.

Yes, I saw several people saying the greek/english thing but... as I posted they:

    - haye different market Symbols

    - have different address

    - have different board members

    - have different stock prices

I am not doubting the info posted by the OP.  I think its good news.  Specially that it doesnt say MoU, MoC or whatver... it says agreement.

But I was surprised to find the data I mentioned (I didnt research... I jsut look in the same webpage).  I thought someone would explain it better than just saying (again) its the same name but in different language... after all... they do have all the differences I mentioned.

Anyway, non important data so if anyone doesnt know, just dont worry.  I dont care much hehe.

Like when lack of PR is the same as Aventurine and the game Darkfall have problems. Its not the same thing. It just mean that all gamecompanies depending of their funds and number of employees dont have the same approach to expensive advertisment campaigns.

Its something vaporvare trolls like you used to miscredit the company and the game and its just alot of BS.

You know. I was trying to be nice and say something constructive.

You are simply an obnoxious little know it all, who acts like a small child.

Let me also remind you smart guy.

    The game isn't out.... yet.

That was nice and constructive?  You're subversive and sarcastic every chance you can be.  The game will come out, and all the vapotros will say OH IT WILL FAIL and they can just piss off.  I'll be happy playing a game with people who actually want to play it.

But, they are desperate, I mean, they were even trying to pass off the argument that the writeup was Tasos on an alt , swearing a lot to cover his tracks.
And why would Tasos post on the complication of releasing in Europe and America? If he wanted everyone interested in the game, shouldn't he claim that both continents would have simultaneous launches, with everything fine and dandy? Oh wait, maybe he's actually been honest the whole time.

It's called setting expectations, and they would preffer the initiall cluters of servers to be heavily populated. Before they expand... so if it was Tasos or not they are getting the effect they want.

    Oh really?

    Dragon Empires

    WISH

    UOX

    UO2

    Gods & Heroes

    Mythica

    Star Trek online

and who knows what else I am missing that was cancelled in Beta...

Eve Online also had some unknown Publisher too and they did absolutely nothing for them and eventually they had to get rid of them.

Darkfall is still 100% Vaporware and will always be until the day comes when a credible industry editor logs into it , plays it and writes up a review.

Or till the day I log into it.

They were basically FORCED into taking a completely terrible publishing deal with a company who has absolutely NO IDEA about video games because no other REAL video game publisher wants to touch Darkfall.

You would think that a game that is supposedely as feature rich and complete as Darkfall is would have lots of big name publisher wanting publishing right to ALL of Europe. Instead they give all of Europe to some unkknown inexperienced DVD replication compant?  LOL  Get real.

Mark my words. Darkfall will be a complete failure. This little "news" you dug up at the ass end of the internet somewhere does not mean anything.

This game is a labor of love, to some extent it is obvious that Aventurine wan't control and they have retained it. The company being used for distribution will have no problems delivering on what is expected they have all the relevant expertise necessary.

Looks like they are in control of their own destiny and have done exactly what they have stated, and finally.

*laughs and laughs and laughs at the sad little troll*

Why are you laughing like a blithering idiot?

    - This game certainly isn't out yet, now is it?

    - This game hasn't released. And even should it actually release, it then has to be even remotely "playable" and "fun".

    - Who's gonna be laughing when 2009 hits and there still is no beta and no release and people saying "maybe fall of 2009" ??

Before you can really laugh, this game must first release and be more then a total pile of shit. Which is doubtful as hell.

But you go on believing and laughing. We shall see who looks foolish in the end.

    Imagine that!!

Another one liner from XXeon with misspelled words and nothing to back up what he says at all.

Great work though XXeon. Where would the mighty Darkfall be without your endless support?

Someone can sit and give 50 reasons as to why Darkfall is suspicious and doubtful as to releasing. They could even post links and all to prove their points.

..And here you'd come trotting up and post some one line response with like 4 misspelled words saying something along the lines of

"haha wahtevre, DF will come out and nun of that stfuf you rote is true liar!"

    LOL
