To those that say the servers are empty, what do you expect after two weeks, 10 millions subs. I saw people complaining on these forums last week that they had to queue to get to play, it wouldn't surprise me if they're the same people that are not complaining there's nobody here. All of you will never be satisfied, accept it and move on.
I have seen no lag, the bugs I have seen are not game breaking, I am not bored, the RvR is fun. Yes I will resub.

Actually they don't have to quit mmo's, this game simply isn't for them, sorry not everyone agrees this is an awesome game, nowadays people expect more and if they don't get it they aren't gonna wait and there is nothing wrong with that.
WIll i be staying on..maybe..but i find i don't even have the urge to log in, but i'm not sure we will see.
Again though, people don't have to be satisfied with just what is put in front of them, things were cut out so they could release and not look like they had unfinished things, risky move since people will dig up that kind of info and act upon it, they didn't promise the stuff would come out but cutting things out of a game always has a negative effect, i really don't care, i understand the scope of these games and sometimes things just gotta get put aside for abit.
People are still complaining about servers, the sides aren't balanced they did what they could but they can't force people to play Order, and peole are just gonna join the winning side anyways, not all but most.
Anyways don't get all burnt out if people don't stay on, this game doesn't need to be the top on subs to keep being fun for those that stick with it.

On the other hand, in todays world the development cost for MMO games are so much higher than when EQ launched and now that customers are more accustomed to the whole subscription pay-scheme, they are also quickly getting more savvy about the effect cancelling will actually have on the developer and publisher.

The other element to consider is that this market is saturated with titles, there are literally dozens and dozens of MMOs to spend your time on and most people will not be satisfied with second best or "fun some of the time" if they believe, have experienced or suspect a better experience can be had in another game.

Additionally it is not uncommon that people will only subscribe to one game at a time which again forces the developers to really cater and deliver unless they want a lot of cancelled accounts on their books.

EDIT: On topic; No I did not re-sub. For me the game is too narrow and repetitive without any real player-driven possibilities for shaking things up. I don't expect world events if I can have control of the looks and performance of my toon and have fun with strange and wacky builds. When neither is present and a sense of grind (as in doing things purely to gain a numerical advantage over and over, not because it is fun first and an advantage later) settled around day 8 I couldn't pay for this. For me, it is not worth it.

after AOC I had huge expectation from WAR and unfortunately in my view it did not deliver

My CE edition died out today and i did not renew,

Instead i bought a 60 day gae card for AOC not that AOC was better but preference wise both these games were a let down but AOC I liked the combat and graphics so will stick with it for a while

You have a funny CE. The game was launched 18th, it had a grace period of 7 day and along comes 30-day free period.

Seeing as Desto are already sacking Altdorf on my server the games become a joke.

    You know what?

I'll admit that im a WAR fanboi but im going to agree on alot of points that the PvE is lacking very much and the game is VERY linear. Scenarios are alot of fun but after doing the same 2 over 10x to get full inf feels like another WoW rep grind.

Although i havent reached Gunbad or Bastion in terms of dungeons for PvE its shallow and linear in the Sewers of Altdorf. I'll keep playing because the PvP is meaningful and there's a big reason to do it and there is not another PvP game out here that can touch WAR.

I despise the PvE in this game so i do 70% of my lvl'n in this SC's and 30% questing.

    No, I won't.

Gameplay is repetitive and has no depth at all.

I will definetly be re-subbing to this game and EvE online of course.

I am in it for the long haul for WAR. There isnt another mmo out there now that can compare to this game on the market now and if so, its pretty damn old.

AoC to me was a failure and so was vanguard, however, vanguard was all about pve where AoC was all about PvP. Both did'nt hold me long enough to re-sub.

Waiting for Darkfall and Warhammer 40k Online.

    Currently Playing: AO and FE.

When WAR released I was overjoyed and thought I had found my new Mmo home, but after getting 6 different characters up to level 13 -14 I started to feel as though some thing was missing cant quite put my finger on it , by all accounts everything should be there in place for a fantastic Mmo experience.....

....... But...I'm undecided at the moment , I thinks its a great game but I have found myself logging in to WoW and Lotro more and have even given AoC another shot, I think its fair to say by all the other posts that people have vastly different views on all different aspects of  WAR . It does though have the potential to be great and maybe when they put the mising classes etc back that will go to helps some.

So not sure I will yet but I still certainly would like to see WAR get the sucess it deserves.

I will, for a few reasons.

    1. Nothing else that's out right now seems fun.  WoW makes me tired.  I don't want to play DAoC (it's old/clunky).  AC might entertain me, but the 100th patch was a huge disapointment.

    2. Still cheaper than any other sort of  entertainment.  With winter around, it will be a lot more in door time.

    3. My guild plays, so there will always be someone for me to play with.

WAR has it's short falls, and most of the connection complaints are valid. I disagree with those who can't find PvP, I have NO problem finding it.

The only downfalls I'm experiencing are the PUG's lack of simple intelligence (if I have to ask a healer to STOP doing damage and HEAL ME again, I'm going to make sure they all die), the SH has less survivablity than a BW/Sorc and less damage as well, and, like was mentioned, the crash to login screens only have to have wait in the queue for 10 minutes to get back in.

Waaahhhhh.. I suck at the game and can't focus fire... Wahhhhhhh

Yeah thats mature . . . I didn't have time for a long post before but i do now. So i'll explain a bit more.

I think all the Dots were put in to make battles go on longer. Which is great for RvR but makes PvE a bit boring imo.  If you want slow drawn out RvR battles your also going to get slow drawn out PvE play. When you have enough players in your area for fun ways to level like PQs, open rvr, and scenarios, it's not so bad. If you come to the game late when there are few players in your area, and are stuck soloing all the time. Dots just make it go by that much slower. Especially when you're in a hurry to get up to where all the other players are at.

Dots in RvR don't bother me much. Because i found the dps classes unappealing, i play mostly healers. So i spend almost all my time healing in RvR.

The only thing i didn't like about HoTs was the quick cast gotten by AM / Shm and Dok / WP. They were about 1/3 direct healing and 2/3 HoT. They just seemed a bit wasteful. On most classes you'd have to spam this to keep them alive, while emptying your action bar / essences. So you'd lose a lot of the healing from the HoT part. I'd rather they just took the HoT part off and lowered the cost, or added some kind of intermediate direct heal.

They took a step to help the imbalance of population between tiers. You can now que for all 3 scenarios. Which i give a big . Hopefully this will cut down on having to solo for exp so much. I still think population balance between realms is going to be difficult. They need to make Order a bit more popular.

I really enjoy the RvR in this game but have had a hard time being able to participate in it. The game got mailed to me a week and 1/2 late. So most people were all in the upper tiers. Tier 1 wasn't that bad but in tier 2 no one seems to do open RvR or scenarios or the players just aren't there to do them. Which has left me with nothing but very boring pve play. I am also a player who enjoys having an alt or 2 , once i get my main maxed. I just can't see myself going through these empty lower tiers to level alts.

So for now i will be holding off from subscribing, though i will still play out my free month. I plan on keeping an eye on the game to see what changes.

Now if you like to intelligently dispute anything i said Rytif , be my guest. Otherwise keep your childish comments to yourself please.
