Again you're missing the point. No one has said this dog and pony show is for the end user. In fact no retailer even has a SKU at this point which is very odd oonsidering that some games get sku's six months out. This show could in fact be all for milking millions over time and the end user is just now getting in midstream banging the windows saying they want in and now they are having to pander to get them to stfu.

As far as leaks go, there have been some and will probably be more if they are inviting more testers. But the reason the NDA is still up is pretty clear based on interviews (as opposed to angst-filled speculation). Could there be 'other' reasons? Sure. Who cares. When it launches, buy it if you like it.
The original testers were almost to a man either friends of AV staff or friends or those friends and some long term forum followers/fans. This accounts for the lack of leaks since beta began. In the last month we've seen some leaks almost all very favorable and lacking real details. Total testers less than 1000 with only a couple hundred online at any time.
The next wave consisted of more long term followers and fewer that could be called die hard fans of AV. We began to see more details in leaks and those details were worrisome at times. Total testers still under 2000 with less than 300 or so online at any time.
Last wave of invites is massive, being called a clan beta by some there are thousands of players entering the game. You should see a lot of info NDA or no very soon.
What we know about the pre-order is that it grants certain privileges for access. Thats all we know, no cost or details of the pre-order other than some time before launch. Yes this goes against what was promised but that happens when you sign with a publisher.

The fact remains this is a scam just becaues they are going to ask for pre-order money before they allow anyone to officially talk about the game. Yeah, you may get some leaks here and there, but unless there are a lot of them, and they support each other, they really can't be relied upon.
There is simply no reason for Tasos to keep up and NDA when the game is 'feature complete' like he said months and months ago. I can certainly understand him limiting the amount of beta testers (since bandwidth isn't free).. but the fact that nobody can talk about the game openly is just a sure sign that there are no advanced features in this game. I thought the NDA existed so that people don't steal the core ideas implemented into the game, IE the combat system or housing system involved. But having an NDA when the game is supposedly being released in a month seems to me like they are more or less hiding problems with the game. Dealing with Aventurine is like dealing with the government, they choose there words so carefully with ever update they have. Lift the NDA and let us know if we are wasting our time waiting for this game, or if it will actually be ready. I would be upset to hear this game needs another 6 months or so to be completed, but don't keep people in anticipation, because that is the root for most of the anger that you see on the forums.
