lol its kind of weird they got all those people playing this game yet when you check on xfire.com its so far in the listing i always wonder if its dead ,yet if you check another almost not played game like silkroad online its a very old game its always among the top mmo on xfire with gw and wow
so maybe 3.5 million baugh aion but i doubt there are a lot playing if there was it woulf be amoung the top game in mmo section of xfire
im sorry but if its very far down the mmo list in xfire it does mean its a fail game in a lot of area in the world
i would never suggest to buy aion or any other mmo p2p with the rank they got on xfire there are too many way better ranked f2p game in there to bother with the initial cost of a p2p game be it any game not6 just aion
if the game is ranked no problem if it isnt mm i suggest to skip it
the OP should come to EVE, where our friendly community will show him just what it means to be in a hardcore pvp game

have you ever tried to go on a server in silkroad online ,lol dont you just can its always full anytime of day or night
i played wow 3 years and i never saw all server full never
silkroad online as been full 18 hours a day for at least 3 year
sro cather to the same area of the world as aion right now
america almost dont play sro because of the impossiblity of getting online
imagine if joymax finally made progress and added anough server to get rid of the full server issue it would be an even bigger succes
that will never happens lol sro probably got around 20 million people world wide waiting to play sro
wow never had that, neither did aion ever had all of their server full 18 hour a day since lunch
yes in america we might think the number of player playing sro is a lot but remember one thing asia is a big market
just china and india alone make a market of 2.6 billion people so lets say only 5 % of them are game witch is probably very conservative of me it s a 130 million gamer market minimum right now
that why when you see sro or any f2p game out there in those area and compare aion im sorry but aion isnt a big succes for those market
awww the big bad pvp ganker can't find a game of other pvp gankers; so he comes to the game which could have the next highest subs after WoW, wondering why they didn't make his big bad pvp ganking game instead. Come on joo tuul, Darkfall has "released" already. Go play that, unless you are afraid of getting ganked by some big bad pvping hacker. That's the great thing about games... always another one if you don't like the one you are playing. Wait nevermind, they only have one store in Salisbury, and its a severly understocked Wal-Mart, or so I heard.

It's going to be interesting to see if the company can survive another MMO shutdown, but things are not looking good core players canceling their pre orders left and right..the game getting more Craebear with each patch..dark days ahead for Ncsoft.

I totally agree, if you were a hardcore gamer you should strive to battle, use tactics to win but if you lose there must be a price and xp lost and hells levels need to come back into the mmorpg games. I think todays players are not as hardcore as they think!
I don't think it will fail, but me and wife are trying beta from preorder and she hates the look. i hope the plan to give the graphics a bit more the the WoW /guildwars + graphics. i was hoping for more like lineage 2 +++ . the game play seem very plain . i will still play it and see what higher levels have hope the they have great guild and hope for some form of guild if not player housing. If not then will be just another grindy game from the east...
I actually find the graphics quite nice, it seems like an amped up L2 graphics style. I am also enjoying the gameplay even though its nothing revolutionary or anything.
No way, not even in the same zone as L2, Aion is more like a water color painting not a living breathing world.
I guess we will have to just disagree here, I have played L2 on max settings and the graphics are not as good as Aion ( In my opinion).
edit: Now when I look at some screen shots from both games they are very similiar graphicaly. I must admit I did not play a lot of L2 and it was a long time ago.

interesting thought...Indians rarely play games, especially MMO's.
In America we normally can afford to pay for our games, F2P not really necessary except for our youths.
Aion will do fine...... 20M players who pay almost nothing does not equal 1 million subs in the west in terms of revenue.

First let me say that I have played SilkRoad. Not only is it terrible it's also full of bots. Tons and Tons of bots. It's no wonder it's hard to login with hundereds upon hundereds of bots running 24/7.
As far as 20 million, good for SRO *golf clap*. I'm glad so many people (and bots) are enjoying it.
And to compare a F2P to a P2P in countries where the vast majority of the populations do not have 24/7 internet access because they barely make enough money to buy food to survive is just, well, dumb.

From what I understand, Silkroad servers are always full because of the bots. Apparently, that's all that plays. Just sayin....
Just put in about 8 hrs on the beta, my first one. It certainly isnt a WOW killer but i see it pulling in some subs at least for awhile and might do some damage to the LOTRO's and Warhammer's out there. I find the graphics nice, music is ok but nothing special. Game play is pretty much what we all expected. Havnt gotten into any pvp yet , just got my wings. Nothing earth shattering but its certainly not a failure either. Sorry OP, you might try trolling AionSource but doubt you will have much luck there either.

Drak, those four words alone sums up this entire topic, well, at least the OP and a good half of the topic.

nha silkroad is popular there are lot of bot in all game not just silkroad
the main thing going for silkroad is the fact that it can be played on even very old dino computer
and this feature alone is what makes it so popular
not a lot of people can afford our 3 year old computer in asia remember when they gain 1300 dollars a year in revenue they are very happy
so a game like silkroad is and will be popular for years to come
not that amrica will ever play it since its impossible to logon lol
