So I found a funny story on the official forums with pics and I'm going to repeat it here.
In short, the germans mounted an attack on the river city Charleroi over the weekend. After the last army base was captured, the german players decided to take a victory pic in front of the last bunker. This is typical for squads to do so they can write up an after action report for posterity sake.
Anywho, as they are lining up to take a pick...
A lone DB-7 comes barreling in and drops right in the middle of them.
Thoes that didn't die to the blasts were severely wounded.
That DB-7 pilot didn't make it back to his base because of the sheer number of enemy 109s but it was reported that he got 23 kills.
Well here are 2 more pics. One is a shot on a Sherman tank. Its in the game, but only in offline at the moment.
So I'm still not sure about v1.17. The attack objectives I believe are doing there job by forcing the players into a tighter spot which makes for bigger battles. But usually there isn't a clear leader for each objective. Well I hope they fix that with brigade spawning. Anyhow, the other night I was appart of a very crazy assault on a very important town. The town, Maubeuge.
It has 2 army bases and an airfield attached to it. When I logged in, the french controlled most of the city. A little while later, all that was left was the north side armybase. Wave after wave of infantry continued to rush the area but were cut down by the well dug in defenders. In the above pic, I didn't last 30 seconds after taking this pic. Well, the Germans were able to pull off the defense, disable a forward base from the french and take back total control of the town. I think the French just ran out of man power at the very end. Very fun night even though we didn't take the town.
I didn't notice you had placed pics until today. They take a long time to load on my end.
Well here are some from this week. I logged in and found a large group assualting an important town named Rethel. This town has 2 army bases in it so its uaually important for the French to hold it. The Germans has had it for the past week until this took place.
When I logged in, I found that the main assault had taken place and we were trying to get last army base from them. The main city bridges were blown so the bulk of the allied armor could not get across the river.
So the order to repair the bridge came down.
Once the bridge was up, the infantry/armor rush was on.
This higher vis limit is great.
Looking behind me once I crossed, damn thats a lot of people coming across.
And the final moments. Well this game does play out similar to battles in WWII, if you get a ton of people and material on one attack, you victory is almost assured.
I say almost because I have been on the defending side out numbered and we held, plus I have been on the attacking side where we out numbered them and didn't succeed. Funny how the outcome is dependend on large groups of people and their combined actions.

Well I'm stuck at work but these pics are what I've been able to steal from other threads. Right now people are just having fun with Paratroopers in game.
So I haven't posted in this thread in a long time. Thought I would resurrect it.
Well how many of you have knife kills. I bet not too many.
Here is one situation I found my self in last week. Several of us were getting snipped from an unknown enemy while defending a town. I located the enemy and snuck up to him. When I was close, I thought, shooting him at this point wont do him justice.
By the way, if you think the above is easy its not. Just stabing infantry in the legs/body just applies damage. So it takes a lot of hits to bring someone down. But a single hit to the back of the neck/head area gives you best results.
I have gotten more Knife kills than grenade kills. I probably have around 6-7 knife kills and 3-6 nade kills. Its not too hard. Hitting them in the chest when you sneak up on them blinds them with a red "pain" screen so the next 4 hits are a snap. The knife is the sapper's and ATR rifleman's favorate weapon for stealth.

This may not mean much to you all but this was taken after I deployed my dive breaks and literally free fell onto a blen, ramming it and taking it down with me. Somehow my tailgunner and pilot survived.

The promotion (firingsquad) ended yesterday. Dammit!
I wanted to play the game--especially after reading the responces, going to the site, seeing the screenshots.
Well, I hope another promotion starts...soon.
I have one questions: Does this game accept PayPal to purchase CD Keys and subscriptions?

So the British were attacking the town Halle just south of Brussels last week. The town has 2 depots west of the main town area at a cross roads junction. These 2 depots were captured quickly. German troops moved with trucks north of the depots and attacked from the bush lines. They wanted these depots back quickly.
This turned out to be a hell of a firefight. We were dug in preaty good in the buildings and rubble around these depots. Bullets were wizzing all over. This screen shot doesn't show the total amount of people that were counter attacking but believe me there were a lot. I had an ATR and was using it to good effect. Some how we survived and the north area was cleared of germans. The battle moved to now sniper shots being traided from our location to the main town area. We were told to hold our position and wait for our 2nd armor column to arrive.
Neither side had much armor anymore. It was used up in the begining of the attack. We did have a few MLE38s placed around these depots to keep the german airforce at bay. As you can see from our position to the main section of town there was about a 300m "no mans land". Right after taking this pic, I was knee deep in germans.
On the text chat, people were calling out enemy paratroopers. I looked up and saw this. I nearly sheit my self. I have an ATR (a long range weapon and can only be used if deployed) and about 30 paratroopers are landing in my lap. So what did I do. I ran like a little girl Somehow we kept the depots and removed all the paratroopers but at a high cost. All of our AT guns or AA guns deployed in the area were removed. At some time later, our armor column finally arrived and we pressed forward and captured the town.
I remember the first para drop in the game. Was there when the server came up and at the town to see german airbourne and some developers freefalling like snow. Was a sight to behold
