This site really was horrible in 03, wasn't until about 07 when it became half decent. There were much better forums to discuss games on prior to 07 and this site was not well known. It has steadily improved with the hard work by the staff.
I noticed this week that Girlgeek is no longer registered. That's a bummer. I always enjoyed her posts and sense of humor.
That blows.... Another one of the "good ones" went away.
Looks like I've been here since '06. Came here and posted mostly in the DAoC boards answering questions and what not. I played that game to death and posted in the VN boards before this place. Once DAoC lost it's charm for me I came here lookin for "something else" and became disenchanted with the genre and a bitter, jaded person in the process.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

When I signed up I thought I would be given the opportunity to have a forum named different from my account name. I intended to use the forum name Gus_Tarball, a slight modification of the name of a mercenary for hire in the game Jagged Alliance 2. Grunty was also another mercenary.

Im register here sinds 2003 but i sometimes can't controll myself and have been banned 2 times reasons i dont agree with but mmorpg.com have power to ban me hehe.
I was playing AC2 and someone mentioned mmorpg.com and i register.
Games played:AC1-Darktide'99-2000-AC2-Darktide/dawnsong2003-2005,Lineage2-2005-2006 and now Darkfall-2009..... In between WoW few months AoC few months and some f2p also all very short few weeks.
Came to this site right at the start of WoW, looking for others that were going to play. Quit my first MMO Tibia and joined the WoW bandwagon for a couple years.
Lost that account unfortunetly and created a new one near the Aion launch.
It is amazing how many people came here half a decade before they started their handle, for all sorts of reasons. The record, of course, is the guy that came before the site was even started! but otherwise... 70-80 percent was here, 4-8 years before they said "hey, maybe I SHOULD spend one minute to write a handle"

Started with UO and EQ 1 a bit before 9/11/01 became a significant date.
Lurked around here probably in 04 to 05 with EQ2, City of, and WoW news here and there. I seem to recall actually making an account to sign up for beta for something and win some video cards.
Got in to a few betas thanks to mmorpg.com, but sadly no hardware won yet. LoL
I kill other players because they're smarter than AI, sometimes.

Nov '04 was when I signed up, must have been to discuss WoW. Though, WoW came so late to the game all things considered.
I disappear every now and again to find that my post count has been reset. It is kind of fun, I suppose.
I miss the MMORPG genre. Will a developer ever make one again?

Been around a bit. Started messing with the internet around '95 I think. Found this site by typing www.mmorpg.com the browser to see what happened.
