Well, if we're going for realism here, all female characters might aswell come with maxed cooking skill as well. If it's just to be fair, then be fair to the rest of us and don't put in fat characters at all. Only one kind of personality plays a fat female character: attention whores. Don't do them the liberty of making them snort every time they stand in a major city thinking "HEHE GOLLY-GEE IM A FAT FAMALE, EVERYONE IS LOOKING AT ME". Seriously, don't do it.
Well, you could be a fat female in SWG, and I don't think I ever did see a fat female in the couple years I played it.
There's indeed only very few MMO's that have that option, and even fewer created fat characters that you see running around in the higher levels in those MMO's.
Star Wars Galaxies
EQ2
City of Heroes/Villains
Perfect World
Runes of Magic
Perfect World...
... They all had or have scaleable character sizes for female toons. I am sure there are plenty more.

Ah... SWG again, I understand the bringing up of the OP topic now.
You mentioned Perfect World twice, i guess that was an oversight. EQ2 I can't recall there being any choice for fat female avatars besides trolls, but I definitely didn't see any fat female avatars (nor fat male ones) running around.
I am quite sure that there aren't plenty more, rather most of the MMO's didn't have any choice for obesily fat female avatars. Aion was one of the few MMO's where you could, though, you could create all kinds appearances in there.

I've never seen "fat" people in either EQ2 or RoM. Slightly larger then normal yes, but nowhere near fat or obese.

Yes, there are plenty. Why don't you do some of your famous 'research' on finding more?
Nope, not needed. I know there aren't, and the fact that others didn't see any fat avatars in the MMO's you mentioned and the fact that you couldn't find any more says it all, really.

Not just that, but you couldn't create "fat" avatars in these games, you could scale body types to make "bulky" avatars, but they weren't fat, they were usually still muscular, especially in games like CoX where the body was still proportional despite the bulk.
This conversation is getting a tad ridiculous IMO, I can't believe it's still going TBH. There are no fat chicks in TOR, there are fat men, that's the way the cookie crumbles.
BTW I guess Maxis is sexist too, I was playing Sims 2 last night and tried creating a fat family, the males can be fat but the females just get stacked. Go get em...

Come on man, I cook better then most girls any day. Maybe if I had a real job and a wife it'd be different but hell. And seriously, if fat chars are attention whores and it'll make people randomly talk to me then maybe it'll offset how introverted I am around new people. Even online sometimes :P.
Bottom line is in most mmo's dudes play chicsnasty as that sounds its true then they troll for in game items. And women shouldn't be playing games but taking care of the kids and making dinner instead.

lol!
Well it has its benefits playing a chich toon.. you can make her do whatever you want.. you can change her hair.. undress her anywhere
Well I myself at one point played a Female Dwarf in wow, which as most of you know is a small fat chick, so im not against having fat as an option for the female characters....
BUT
I have to ask, how many female players make their in game character look like themselves, isnt the point to escape, how many female mages do you know in real life ?, how many female 10 ton plate wearing females do you know in real life ?, they should stop trying to pull real life into our bloody games, if Bioware dont want fat birds, then TOUGH!, female players can just roll a FATMAN oh the horror..
Some people really make me laugh, OMG NOT FAT WOMEN the game is fail, their fail, their sexist, sue them quick cos we have nothing else to moan or complain about. jesus get a life.
It makes no difference if you can play a fat girl, guy or what not. I'm not saying this game is going to be bad when it appears rather well structured. However, it is becoming very evident that it is not going to be an open-ended MMO where a player determines their own path based on "spur of the moment" individual choice.
Instead, you get to pick a path (that has already been pre-determined) and conform to the standards that support the story, watch the cutscenes, voiceovers, etc.
The real unanswered question is end-game content and how players will have the free-will to define themselves once the story is over. So far, BIOWARE has not given out any information in this regard so we all can guess in the meantime.
The game looks decent (not spectacular) so far, but BIOWARE is taking some risks by sailing into uncharted waters on the over-all structure of the game.
I don't think it's merely limited to this single forum.
Talk about overreation just because some people disagree with you. You think this game is bigger than Jesus; others think, um, the game's not realised yet and may only rate a B+. It's not the end of the world.

Talk about overreation just because some people disagree with you. You think this game is bigger than Jesus; others think, um, the game's not realised yet and may only rate a B+. It's not the end of the world.
This post you made is a 'logic fail' for several reasons:
- they only commented on the forum atmosphere, not the game.
- besides that there has been no mentioning of the game in the posts you quoted, you also assumed that they think the game is 'bigger than Jesus'.
- you talk about 'overreaction', but you are clearly the one doing just that, by assuming and tagging other posters as people who think the game is 'bigger than Jesus'.
Besides these obvious logic fails, there's also the sophism, the (deliberate) flaw in reasoning:
you only present 2 sides, the people thinking the game is 'bigger than Jesus' that apparently represent fans who like SW:TOR so far, and the 'others', people that know the 'game's not realised yet' and that think less of the game, it 'only rating a B+'
Hereby you suggest that (some) people liking the game excessively idolize the game, and that reason and awareness of the undetermined state of the game falls solely to the side of people who think the game may only rate a B+.
While in reality it's obvious of course that there are people who know that the game is not realised yet and may rate it an A to A-, and that there are also people who irrationally think the game is worse than hell .

The over-all structure of the game isn't that much sailing into uncharted waters, actually, since it's basically the same as all the other AAA MMO's out there at the moment: crafting, PvP, quests, auction house, dungeons, leveling, combat mechanics and endgame content like raids, Warzones, open world PvP, high level 'dungeons' (Flashpoints).
To this mix SW:TOR only adds a fully integrated, deeply enhanced revamp of the quest mechanics enabling more immersive storytelling and consequences to your actions in questing, and a deeper sense of exploration than in current themepark MMO's.

Wumi - SWG - Bloodfin - Cancelled
Wumi - WoW - Eu-Kazzak - Cancelled
Bulldozer - Aion - Eu-Kahrun - Cancelled
Wumi - Rift - EU-Riptalon - Cancelled
To end this discussion i'd like to suggest the following:
>> Make fat body types for both male and female. Bestow the following limitations on them:
1. Need tripple the amount of healing potions
2. Need special diabetes potions once a day (cash-shop item)
3. Limit the amount of running they can do in a given period of time
4. Random Heart failures during combat
Not just that, but you couldn't create "fat" avatars in these games, you could scale body types to make "bulky" avatars, but they weren't fat, they were usually still muscular, especially in games like CoX where the body was still proportional despite the bulk.
5. Change the Smuggler class name to Hamburglar with a Grimace companion.
In Bioware we trust!

Now that sounds like a plan. Nothing can kill the Grimace.

Maybe Bioware could include it in a cash shop.
WoW has it's 'Sparkle Pony'..TOR can have 'Fat Chicks'.
Its like Quagmire says, "fat chicks need love too....but they gotta pay! OH!"
