Yes sure there is alot of "kids" playing this game. However there is also alot of adults playing it, and infact I know of several "dads" that has started playing it as the game can be very fun for people that dont have 18h a day to play. I am the youngest in a guild on a pve server and I am 35 . On my main char I am leading a guild with people I have played with since the Action Quake II days, and there most people are 20+ although a few new ppl around 18 years old.
I play to have fun and for me WoW is fun. I used to play EVE since day 1 but for me that game lost its fun part (yes I was in the middle of all the action). Since WoW got delayed in Europe I ordered EQ2 to play that to see if it was any good, unfortunatly for me that game lost its touch after lvl20 so I stopped subscribing a month before wow europe got released.
Now in this thread there is to many people arguing over silly things, it all comes down to personal preferance and that varies from person to person. WoW is a success no matter how much you love the game or hate the game. The 2mill people buying the game is an absolute fantastic achievement.

They dont show how many people have quit WoW. WoW lost its luster after 2 months for me then I quit that grind hell of a game. Darkfall will be out soon I hope and it will be my bandaid for Shadowbane.

I dont think it has as much to do with age as it does maturity level. But screw it, I have a good guild and a long ignore list.
Lol. This game lacks content. There is no developement of content unless you think the PvP junk was usefull and then you are in for a treat "Queues". So reading the promo really cracks me up. If waiting in queues is your idea of fun feel free to try and play it. Be sure to have a book handy. Guildies on my server Black Hand are so upset you would not belive it, we are talking hours to get into BG. Lag has also sucked since last major patch. I don't count the bad aid patch on 6-14.

No lag or problems getting into game for me, but then again I don't try and play on high player servers.

Everything takes time...if youve player other mmorpgs you would know this. Of course people who have played others, bitched then and they will bitch now. Things will be tweaked , things will be fixed.
If you dont want to wait around....go do a quest till your turn is up. Thats the alternative for the time being.

well, i know how firemagic feels. i was really into WoW for a few months...until one day, i hit lvl 50 and said...WOW this game is average and cancelled my account that day. Maybe i'll come back in a year or so if they ever impliment 50% of what they said the game would have at release....maybe.
WoW isn't a bad game, it just isn't all that good either.

Same here, although when I tried to level up another character it felt like, oh I know exactly where to go for this quest, I know where this guy spawns. There was no more searching.
Its a bane of every MMORPG - to keep your interest in the game for months. No MMORPG can do that because even though their gameplay is fun for several months, it does get boring. I left WoW 3 months ago because i just burned out and because i was on PvP server, all that ganking did not help at all. But now once again I miss WoW and so I signed up again. I started from scratch on a PvE server and i am level 20 warlock now. Im also undead, always wanted to try out the horde. So far so good, im having a blast! The point is, people will leave WoW, new people will join or old people return. Its normal. Judging from the fact that WoW is adding new servers makes me conclude that WoW subscribtion is on the rise. So far everyone around me was helpfull and polite, there were no "kiddies" or jerks, my ignore list is empty.
Why don't those of you who don't like World of Warcraft, stay in your game's respective forums, rather than degrade or otherwise say bad things about a game when it really isn't being sought ( your opinion ). Thank you.

I dont mind heraing what people have to say about WoW negative or other wise as long as they can back it up, or hell mabey even make a reasonable suggestion on how to fix issues they have a problem with.

However, nothing is beyond criticism and that's what these forums are for. They are not the "WoW unquestioning adulation forums"; they're the "WoW discussion forums". I'm sorry this causes you so much distress and I sympathise with your inability to express yourself without getting angry.

It is a great accomplishment but it is NOT a new milestone. It is the 3rd game to have a world wide subs of at least 2 million.
Linage and Linage 2 both have current subs of over 2 million. At one point in time Linage 1 had 3.25 million subs.
