Here is one taken from last campaign. I was out at sea heading to a hot spot where British forces were defending a town. Well as you can see, 2 groups of German troops fell from the sky. I thought this pic looked cool.
Well, the developers are at a point to releasing a 1.19 beta version. The big deal is that the UI is revamped and that brigade spawning will be finally in.
So here is a pic stolen from one of the developers. It just shows off one of the new towns for 1.19
My ingame name is PnHobbit, set me as a friend (type '.friends pnhobbit') and the game will tell you when I come on-line. If you see me feel free to message me and I'll play with you.
Look closely to the screenshot below. Not only is the major paradrop an impressive sight. Which by the way is taken through a binocal at good distance (near 4000 meter which is the visual limit by the surface). Look at the buildings to left. You can see into the appartments. Parts of the walls have been blown off from the fire during the intense fight.
Before the fight started at this CP (village, town or city) was all buildings undamaged. After a few hours fight is the the building to the left severely damaged. But the church with its tower is still undamaged since it hasn't taken enough fire. Not many games with a persistant world I know of has such features.

I took this one a while back - around 2 weeks ago. Us germans getting our asses kicked by the Brits. You cant see it, but at this time I was sitting on a rooftop. I was taking out loads of infantry trying to move in from a mobile spawn to the North East; the biggest threat were the bombers and loads of fightercraft in the air. I lasted a long time until a few bombs landed on my head.
Ok I have a crazy pic. I just found out about this last week.
The RATs created a 1930s style race car in their off time. You can go to the training server and spawn one from a german AB. I tried it on the race track at Spa. Its hard to drive, too much power, too skinny of wheels.
Here is a movie I made with WWIIOL Footage. It's not really that great, and is really the first movie of a game I have ever made, so cut me some slack!! It is also compressed a decent amount, so not the greatest quality. (this is pre - 1.19)
Well i use 56k at the moment. But I never get full connection, some times its 50k but most of the time 44k. But you must lagg with 56k on WW2O because it's to much player on the maps. If you dont want to be a lonewolf of course. ()
Anyway Im going to get it before and try the free trial thing. So Axis will recruit a fine soldier
So today was the release of v1.21.0. Finally after 2 years of hearing about this idea, Brigades are now physically located on the map and maneuver warfare can now finally take place. Before this patch, every city held 600+ infantry 20+ tanks and 40+ guns (ATGs and AAAs). Now, Brigades have these supplies and they occupy towns on the front line. The game has quickly changed from being "capture the town" focused to now "smash/crush the enemy Brigades". After a few hours of playing tonight, I like it. So far after 10 hours of game play, the axis lost the 33rd Infantry Division (thats 3 Brigades worth) and the 17th Infantry Kampfgruppe. Because these were crushed/routed from engagement they get kicked off the map for 6 real hours. After which the GHC can redeploy them.
Here is a pic of the new map with Brigades.
On the first night, I logged in a french and played down near Luxemburg. From what I gathered, the town Longwy was occupied by a german Brigade and the french moved 3 brigades from 3 different cities to attack this spot. It was a hell of a fight. Good infantry engagements in town and outside town. Before all was lost, the german brigade decides to retreat to Luxemburg where its HQ brigade was stationed at. The battle for Longwy went to the french forces. Now surounding towns to Luxemburg were captured french with out a fight and forces where moved into these. I logged off but it looked like 4 brigades were mounting an attack on Luxemburg from 4 different areas.
Good stuff, sounds like a war in there.
Also with the patch, the sniper class was released.
The British get a new tank, Churchill mk3
And a random screen shot just thrown in for good measure. The inside of a C47 with British paratroopers. I had all the GUI info windows up to show how many people were on board.
I just found this in another post, I thought I would share it here. It is a pic of a Do.520 vs a BF-109e in a spirial turning engagement. The 109 looks like it took hits already since the white smoke trail is a coolant leaking.
Here is a pic from Bushman who was using the developer tools to watch a battle. The red icons are axis, the blue are allied, orange are contact reports, and grey are dead guys who haven't spawn out yet.
15 minutes later, the allies send in an armored relief column.
dude these pics make me want to play the game realy bad i think this game is cool. i wasn't very interested in this game a while ago but know that i have seen these pics i am probably goind to play.

512k would be enough, you can play on a 56k modem if you want, it only restricts your VoiceComms ability (teamspeak etc).
Life can be tapped
I have 512kbps and it has never given me any issues playing WWII Online.
