I'm on Infinity (Euro). Was just in Sennex Bunker and there were at least 15 other players (Its not a big bunker, 15 is crowded). I died and cloned in Mos Eisley which is busy. I wouldn't go as far as to say packed but there are people talking and going in and out of the Spaceport. Hardly what I would call dead.

Oh really? Haven't we already covered the whole populations thing? I think its rather obvious at this point the populations are WAY down. Hell I can place a house on coronet at the South Coronet Mall now there are so many gaps and holes in it people are throwing small harvestors in all over the place. The heaviest of servers are down to medium at peek times and many are riding on very light. Who do you think your kidding exactly?

If this guy was right before, chances are he's right again. SWG is screwed. I hope they they get their butts handed to them after ruining the game for me and everyone else. From what I've seen first hand in terms of stores, the main forums (which many regular posters have since vanished from and post on "friends" accounts since you cant post on your account if its unsubbed), and other forums; SOE is losing this battle. They broke the MMORPG Model and are being punished for it.
For those new players or players that have started new characters I'd like like honest opinions of the game after you hit cl30 and have no new NGE content and leveling will be more like a job. I don't think I should have to start all over just to enjoy the game.
As for those saying the servers are packed you obviously don't play on Starsider. I have been hit many npc cities and quest locations and the most I can find is 2-4 players in Cnet and around 6 players in Dantooines MO. Anyone that has played for some time knows thats seems impossible. The only place I can find people bunching up is Mos Eisley, and thats because it's the starting city with the beginning quests.
I have great hopes that this game will be fun again, but to this point I have been unimpressed.

lol, yeah, you could damn near play a a game of football with 20 peeps... In comparison, all servers on CoV are now on medium pretty much ever weeknight, and to my surprise, some are even heavy on the weekends! Never seen this before in CoV, but there is a lot of chatter going on in game about SWG exiles and refugees coming into Rogue Isles... I welcome them all!
On a side note, my Brute hit lvl 20 last night, did the Cape Mission on Vicious setting... Died three times at the hand of a red boss, but got it done... WAAAAAHOOOOOO!

That's why I'm not angry over any of this in SWG. I'm just....interested.
No, fascinated is a better word. I'm learning a lot about what incompetent management can do to a game and a company. I'm learning how not to design and deliver an MMO. These, hopefully, will be useful additions to my knowledge in future years.

In the past, you blindly supported it. Others have as well, but lately this type of fanboism has been missing, at least in this forum.
It's as if a general resignation has taken place, in which people are accepting the inevitable demise of the once great ideas that could have been SWG.
Even supporters in the SWG forums can't help but admit it's a total mess right now, with seemingly no hope of ever being fixed at this pace. Every patch coming down, just like it always has been, doesn't work and they have to patch the patches.
Today for example, people are complaining they aren't getting double XP. Why? SOE forgot to add it to the fly-up XP animations. It only shows in your XP bar.
Others noticed that the GCW facilities no longer have any walls.
Shoot-through Functionality in not working in any case.
Quest changes...not working.
And so forth. They have such a long road of hard work ahead of them, but even so far as from NGE release to now, I just can't bring myself to accept the fact that...there are actually 70 full developers working on fixing this. The changes are small, and always broken.
In the past, this has always been a symptom of the fact that they just refuse to put the majority of development resources on anything other than expansions. I forsee no expansions this time, but recent talk again of the console version has me concerned. Furhter changes to the code seem to be leading in that direction.
I don't know about you, but I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that SWG will cease to exist as a PC MMO by early next year. Given this thinking, I just don't really care what those incompetent managers do to it anymore.

Ther eis NOTHING GOOD ABOUT THIS, from the system, to the method of change, to the lack of communication, to the producer backing out of the g4 interview, to the lame and small, as well as broken, changes to the game since it's release in November.

Ummmmm, No I didn't Wepps. I didn't blindly support anything about SWG, I did however sit and counter all the BS statements about the CU that showed a complete lack of thought and was just more repeating of what the person they heard it from said. I did debunk the BS however I also posted a fair bit about the things that I felt were dam wrong about the CU. My opinion has never changed about it between then and now.
I never commented on the original combat system Pre-CU since I was too new to the system to fully hate it, I did however use it to get myself 1.5 professions before the CU came once I understand how to exploit it via doc buffs, food, stims, and what-not.
I have no idea what you feel I blindly supported but if thats the case then considering all the Pro-CU stuff you have thrown up I would have to say you were just as blind by comparison.

Hell I can place a house on coronet at the South Coronet Mall now there are so many gaps and holes in it people are throwing small harvestors in all over the place. The heaviest of servers are down to medium at peek times and many are riding on very light. Who do you think your kidding exactly?

For those new players or players that have started new characters I'd like like honest opinions of the game after you hit cl30 and have no new NGE content and leveling will be more like a job. I don't think I should have to start all over just to enjoy the game.
As for those saying the servers are packed you obviously don't play on Starsider. I have been hit many npc cities and quest locations and the most I can find is 2-4 players in Cnet and around 6 players in Dantooines MO. Anyone that has played for some time knows thats seems impossible. The only place I can find people bunching up is Mos Eisley, and thats because it's the starting city with the beginning quests.
I have great hopes that this game will be fun again, but to this point I have been unimpressed.

Hell.. a 12 person game of Battlefront seems quite crowded. Maybe it is all a matter of perspective. !2 people in Theed... 8 people on Dant. That's 20 whole people!!!

lol, yeah, you could damn near play a a game of football with 20 peeps... In comparison, all servers on CoV are now on medium pretty much ever weeknight, and to my surprise, some are even heavy on the weekends! Never seen this before in CoV, but there is a lot of chatter going on in game about SWG exiles and refugees coming into Rogue Isles... I welcome them all!
On a side note, my Brute hit lvl 20 last night, did the Cape Mission on Vicious setting... Died three times at the hand of a red boss, but got it done... WAAAAAHOOOOOO!

That's why I'm not angry over any of this in SWG. I'm just....interested.
No, fascinated is a better word. I'm learning a lot about what incompetent management can do to a game and a company. I'm learning how not to design and deliver an MMO. These, hopefully, will be useful additions to my knowledge in future years.

In the past, you blindly supported it. Others have as well, but lately this type of fanboism has been missing, at least in this forum.
It's as if a general resignation has taken place, in which people are accepting the inevitable demise of the once great ideas that could have been SWG.
Even supporters in the SWG forums can't help but admit it's a total mess right now, with seemingly no hope of ever being fixed at this pace. Every patch coming down, just like it always has been, doesn't work and they have to patch the patches.
Today for example, people are complaining they aren't getting double XP. Why? SOE forgot to add it to the fly-up XP animations. It only shows in your XP bar.
Others noticed that the GCW facilities no longer have any walls.
Shoot-through Functionality in not working in any case.
Quest changes...not working.
And so forth. They have such a long road of hard work ahead of them, but even so far as from NGE release to now, I just can't bring myself to accept the fact that...there are actually 70 full developers working on fixing this. The changes are small, and always broken.
In the past, this has always been a symptom of the fact that they just refuse to put the majority of development resources on anything other than expansions. I forsee no expansions this time, but recent talk again of the console version has me concerned. Furhter changes to the code seem to be leading in that direction.
I don't know about you, but I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that SWG will cease to exist as a PC MMO by early next year. Given this thinking, I just don't really care what those incompetent managers do to it anymore.

Ummmmm, No I didn't Wepps. I didn't blindly support anything about SWG, I did however sit and counter all the BS statements about the CU that showed a complete lack of thought and was just more repeating of what the person they heard it from said. I did debunk the BS however I also posted a fair bit about the things that I felt were dam wrong about the CU. My opinion has never changed about it between then and now.
I never commented on the original combat system Pre-CU since I was too new to the system to fully hate it, I did however use it to get myself 1.5 professions before the CU came once I understand how to exploit it via doc buffs, food, stims, and what-not.
I have no idea what you feel I blindly supported but if thats the case then considering all the Pro-CU stuff you have thrown up I would have to say you were just as blind by comparison.
