Just like the issues with the main story line my character cannot progress into the VR6-10 zones because I cannot finish the 'Cadwell's Almanac" requirements. I've spent several days logging out, repeating, and repairing the game but to no avail I cannot progress.

I suppose I'll send in an e-mail to Zenimax tell them I want to obtain a refund and go back to playing less frustrating games like Dark Souls 2 since it just released. Seriously the game was fun when it worked but it has been an uphill struggle that has only become worse the further I progress. From falling through the world, not being able to use my skills and abilities, not being able to auto-attack, not being able to use my siege equipment, many broken quests many of which won't be fixed on the 1.1 patch release, to the infinite load screens, network I/O issues, the memory leak, and various other bugs or exploits.

Good by my little lizard man~ I'll miss you but I must move on and to commemorate this occasion a video:

Man how can you expect a refund. You put more hours into eso, then i play computer in a month.

     Simple, because I can.

Lol well they arent gonna give you one. That is like buying a movie ticket and watching the whole thing, and being like well it sucked, give me back my money.

I cant understand your mentality of playing something for 20+ days, and how many hours, all for like 60 bucks. You obviously had fun in the game, or you never would of made it to lvl 50. That is crazy  to think you deserve a refund.

OP, I will love it when you come back here and essentially make this poster eat his words when you get a refund.

Stages of a new mmo: 1) It's just beta. It still has plenty of time before release. 2) It just launched. Give it time. WoW wasn't built in a day. 3) We don't need you anyway. 4) F2P announced. 5)Huge influx of players. 6) Look how much has changed. 7) Cash shop is the only thing developed lately. 8) It has been a long journey and we thank everyone who was part of it. Shutting down in 3 months. (Courtesy of Robokapp.)

Dont know why people are making you defend why you quit and I dont get why they are mad you made a new thread. I think its good to know why people bought or quit a game. Thanks for your feedback and like many of us looking for a MMOhome. I hope you find one lol

So sending in a request for a paycheck from Zenimax for all of the play testing I've done for the company isn't a good idea either? I mean it's unpaid labor and video game testing use to be an actual job. I've sent in at least 50 bug reports. They should be paying me to play their product at this point.

If you go to a restaurant and eat 3/4 a meal then find bugs in it are you going to pay and/or as for a refund? Yeah you are. It's the same thing here. I should expect a product to be working when I purchase it. So when I'm 3/4 the way finished with the game and I've found many bugs in it I think I can ask for a refund since the product in question isn't working.

    "Isn't working" =/= "Isn't working the way I want"

The game IS working. 99% of its systems are perfectly functional. Some quests are bugged. Some items have issues. This DOES NOT equal 'not working'.

But, go ahead and ask for the refund. Just don't complain all the industry releases in a few years is Call of Duty and the yearly FIFA games.

Yeah, most VR10 players used an exploit to bypass all of the questing. Unfortunately those cheaters still remain in the game, ;)

Before you start spouting lies about the guild I am in, you best get some evidence. Good luck with that, since we use no exploits whatsoever.

What lies? I'm lying at all there was a dungeon exploit that most  players used. Don't get offended your guild might not have been using it hence why I said most.

The fact the guy jumped on the defensive so fast makes me think they did indeed use the exploit. And at this point if you are vr10, you either used the exploit or have an exceptionally boring life without a job family or friends.

I think that if you quit, that's fine.  It's too bad you encountered some difficult bugs and couldn't progress beyond them.  I'm not going to "flame" you, but I might suggest you reconsider quitting over some bugs.

You mentioned that you tried other factions, and I'm not sure how far you got on those characters, but I have gotten over level 20 (yeah, casual player here at only 60 hours logged) on a couple characters.  Also, I've seen people playing that have gotten to VR10, so there must be a way around the bug you encountered.  Did you try contacting customer support?  I had a bug that blocked my progress once, so I submitted a big report and played another character.  The next day, I could progress again.

I don't mean to beat a dead horse, and I'm sure you've heard it many times, but these kind of bugs are part and parcel to every MMORPG release since the beginning.  There have been MUCH worse launches.  I've played 99% of the North American/European-made MMO's (sorry, I don't do all the Asian copy-cats), and there have been some nasty bugs on rollout.

So, if you haven't already, try submitting some bug reports, and see what the response from the CS team is.  Their job is to fix things for you.  That's what the monthly fee is for (in part).  It's a fun game, and if you enjoy playing it I suggest trying that and giving them a bit more time to clean things up.

Congrats on getting up to Veteran levels.  Hopefully I'll be hitting that mark in the near future.

Good luck out there. here, take a kitten.

Game is still fun, but im only VR1. Dont use exploits, and the bugs? I can get around by just relogging.

Spamming E, while falling to ones ceraitn death to finish the Final Assault was a rite of passage for me. Not everyone did it, but a hell of a lot did. Im one of them

As fo  your refund. again good luck. Im sure youll get it. EVEN after you played the game for a month.Saying you tested the game for them is LOL. You played, simple as that!

Here's an example, in the VR zone Stonehaven the quest "Fire in the Fields" requires  you to fill a bucket and then put out 6 fires. When I fill the bucket and attempt to put out the fires no actions happen and I get a message on the screen stating that the object is busy. There are several fires in the field and none of them work.

Another quest line I'm stuck on requires me to kill a Traitor named Maraden inside a building. Unfortunately Maraden doesn't spawn in any of the instances I've been to.

Another bug would be when trying to save King Merric's Spirit from some sorceress. Unfortunately when the fight starts she's invisible and cannot be targeted or attacked but she's definitely there because you can see her animation and can die from her.

Another bug is with the Final Assault in Cold Harbor with the 4 torches you have to light. There's one location where you actually have to suicide in attempts to light the torch because the location of the action is not in the proper location.

Well thought out post with factual examples.

    This is good.

    Winner.

Yeah, we had about 4-5 guildmates who used the exploit as well. They're still chugging away at the game.

And this is kinda the reflection about the current state of the game and what all it is about. It's about Exploit to bypass the boring grind, on the other hand i can't blame those players: 1st it can be done and second who is willing to take on the endless grind to vr10, no one. It is just a fail once more from zanimax, to let it happen.

Not everyone is the same, boring grind be it mobs or quests is still boring. But when you immerse yourself in the game and the stories it stops being boring. It gives you purpose when doing quests, it's not just mindless zerging of thousands of mobs or repeating the same dungeons runs hundreds of times.

I am now VR7 did and listened at every single quests up to now. I did every dungeons runs up to this point, completed 2 of the 3 vr10 dungeons, last one seems bugged.

I enjoy all of it, I ran into some story blocking quests bug, all of which have been fixed in a couple hours, either a patch fix or a gm unblocking the npc at fault. I never deleted any quest, and as of right now I have no bugged ones, all the ones I had have been fixed. The fix for VR5 story block ? Complete all the secondary quests relate to it.

The endgame contains more bugs, VR10 dungeons itemization is not working as it should, and the quests for those 3 dungeons can bug out.

So to resume, every game you play can be as boring or as entertaining as you make it to be. If you play mmoRPG games and are not interested in stories, maybe the fault is not on the developers. Might be better served in a mmofps.

I had no intention to say you all were cheaters. Your statement did come off as very defensive, lol.

Meh, I get cranky in my old age. Hey, I am raising 2 teenage daughters by myself. Posting here allows me to blow off steam instead of punching snot-nosed teenage boys.
