I think its very interesting to see the "Order" factions being so low. This isn't a fluke in just this poll - this is happening in all polls like this one. This information could be skewed, though. Perhaps people that are looking at a game more than a year off tend to enjoy evil races? Who knows? So I wouldn't say that this is an exact representation of the final race breakdown at all.
That said, if the Order races do end up being this underpopulated at release, I wouldn't mind playing them. Playing the underpopulated realm is always fun and gives you more enemies to fight against. Unless you're a zerger, thats never bad.

Then ofc. I was all about skavens, but alas... No skavens ? ..... thats kinda fair enough since they officially dont exist ( but it would be cool to try and eat some warpstone ) Skaven = the real Phantom Menace.
Chaos, who wouldent dance with the ruinous powers for some extra power but I heard that Mythic is aiming at Teens and then I somehow dont think they cant catch the full feel of the chaotic corrupting powers.
But since the poll says currently says about 37 % in favour of Chaos Im kinda mehh.....
im really looking forward to this game and hopefully there will be expansions on races. i hope its like guild wars were u can have more than 1 chacter per account id love that

gl on getting the game redy for 2007 if they do all the races by then i dont think they would manage that at any rate but if u play when it comes out the races will come to u in good time hopefully
At first I wanted to be a dark elf, but seeing as how overpopulated the dark side is going to look, I think I'll settle for a High Elf or Human.

THAT i must agree with i mean , they have done so far a really great job on the graphics already with just the three races alone ( dwarf, goblin,orc) but when the rest of the races come out i too will be extremely in decisive. lol , i guess we will see what race is more popular and then decide from there.

Never made my players play those, I kept them for nice encounters. But I'd like to play them, I'd let a third arm grow in order to play them... Or telescopic eyes...
Personally.. right now im debating between High elves, Chaos or Orc & goblins but we will see which has the best fit. I play High elves on the table top, prety good at it too from what my stradegies are from what i've seen. maybe ill stick with high elf online as well we will have to see, i mean hell, they ARE the BEST spell casters on the table top game consisting of all lores if they wish except one ... with even the most respect of spell casting...says so in the books lol. but if that is how it goes on WAR then i just might play the high elf once more
I love how everyone is bandwagon jumping onto the "bad guy" races. You are not going to have many people to kill if everyone does the same thing. My #2 fear (especially due to Mythic's track record) is an imbalance of players on one side or the other. I just hope they lock a side that gets more than a 15-20% player base imbalance.
As for me.. I will probably go dwarf or human. That way I will have a "target rich environment" . I will also avoid most of the annoying and immature kids who choose chaos or dark elf and give their side a bad name.

yeah..i have to agree with that..if everyonetends on playing the dark side.. you wont have much of a PvP and it will end up like the WoW PvP servers where the majority plays horde.. lets just all hope it balances out, i want this game .. to be awesome... community and everything, so lets make it good!
Like I said in another post.. there HAS to be some type of population control measures installed in an effort to balance the sides. Otherwise, its just not going to be very fun, and I dont care if there will be NPC combatants to help even the odds.. Unless they have a big red letter S on their chest with unbalanced reflexes (read.. "they cheat"), then there is no way NPC combatants will make up for regular players.

I have to say that if every race looks as awesome as the three we've seen so far, I think the races will balance out.
I mean I can't decide which I like more between an orc, goblin, and dwarf already. I'm going to be super indecisive once they're all out....
