Just stop crying about SOE, its hilarious. MS probably would like to have a negative influence about the game, so Sigil made a deal with just another big-player-evil company to have at least freedom in developping the game the way they like.
No difference for us, and technical wise SOE delivers stable servers and patching, even when the companies attitude is getting your money. Microsoft also would like to drain your bucks, so what?
Be happy that Sigil has brought back freedom in game development, nothing else matters. And if u cant stand it, just quit

Vanguard will do crappy all on it's own yet I imagine all the SoE haters will blame it on SoE instead of the person the blame should go to.
Vanguard will do bad why? of course a game that is even vaguely complex would give your average wow player total mental meltdown, but then their opinion amounts to little anyway.

Right... who cares what 6 million MMO subscribers think? Oh, that's right.... every developer, publisher or investor involved in any MMO being published.
I think if WoW was published by SOE, then the players oppinions might not ammount to much, of course there wouldn't be enough of them to matter. I mean, apparetly you and I agree that WoW isn't that great a game, but it is one of the few big production MMOs not to have the SOE taint.... and Vanguard now has the SOE taint planted squarely on it's chin, guess what that means it has in it's mouth

So fricking what? Just because the guy made one of the early MMO's doesn't mean crap. The genre was still new; no one had really defined what success meant yet. But now that the bar has been substantially raised by games like DAoC, a rehash of Everquest ain't gonna cut it at all.
Alright.... so far Ive seen a whole lot of. "Sony has wrecked everything they have touched" But I havent seen one example in which they have ruined a already developed or in development game.
