Well.....then tell the Hezbollah (sp) to stop placing their missiles on top of civilian apartment buildings and grow some chest hair and place them in military installations.
And tell the Lebonese government to controll their extremist groups. Allowing groups to place missiles on top of restaurants and apartment buildings isn't my idea of a strong and stable government
When you said this, Enigma, I couldn't help but be reminded of that interview they aired yesterday with a Lebanese Hezbolli (or are the Hezbollhists...I dunno). I couldn't help chuckle when he said "look at these buildings the Israeli planes have blown up, hiding way up in the sky. What we want is to fight face by face! Come fight us face by face!"
Meanwhile, Israel moves troops in last night (our time). Guess he's going to get his "face by face" wish.

That face to face comment and "Israel are cowards" comment made me really angry when I heard that on tv because of the INCREDIBLE hypocrisy of that statment. If Hezbollah really wanted to fight face to face like they say they would they would be dead in no time flat. Hezbollah's terrorist tactics are supposed to be brave?

Lebanon needs to police their people. That includes disarming, arresting and even killing of hezbollah. They do not do it. Lebenon is weak country that lacks the ability to control their people. They allowed thier citizens to to fire rockets across their border and did nothing about it. Israel is just cleaning house. The bottom line hte atmosphere in that region is rapidly becomming us or them....in the end either the terrorists will destroy Israel (very unlikely) or Israel will destroy the terrorists (very likely).
They way I see it, if my house was Israel and my neighbors to he right and left and across the street were all shooting at my house daily..I would eventually get so pissed that I would go into each of those house and kill everyone in them and I would not care in the least bit if innocent people in those houses died in the process...why? Because, my family > world's population. I would in a second slaughter 1000 school children if it meant the life of my son or daughter. Then again I would also gladly give my life to save 1000 school children.
Bottom line is that Palestine, Syria, Lebanon and Iran want to destroy Israel. I give full support to Israel to massivley strike all these countries killing everything within their borders. This will ensure thier survival.

I really hope that Israel will soon face final justice and withdraw from the Islamic Middle East to US of course.

Despite what the Nazi America haters say, America is not at fault for the this and Isreal is defending itself.
Take all the guns from the terrorists, Isreal would stop attacking. Take all the guns away from Isreal, and the terrorists would kill them all.

Not strictly true, Israel has pursued a campaign of creeping expansion into enemy territory for years now.
Clear a no-mans land out of Palestine to protect themselves and then a year or so later when no one is shooting, build on it.
Placing them in range of enemy fire again. The enemy is pretty pissed off that they just had their homes stolen, so they shoot at the Israeli's. So the Israelis, get the armoured bulldozers out drive into Palestine and clear a new no mans land out of Palestinian homes.
A couple of years later they settle it again. And so on.
Israeli's aren't saints. They are evil scumbags too. (Just like me).

But since Syria has been bullied out of Lebanon, there is a power vacuum that must be filled.
Take away anyones guns, and a new gunman will move in.
Syria used to keep that border quiet, but some smart alec decided Syria was evil and ought to withdraw. I guess that plan backfired.
So now Israel will have to police it.
To my mind this is a just a domino effect from the Iraq War. Welcome to the war Israel.

Israel: a few dead soldiers, 2 kidnapped soldiers
Lebanon: 1 dead, 2 dead, 3 dead, 4 dead, 5, 6, 7, 8, ... 300+ dead the last count I saw.
To call Israel's action "disproportionate" is being way too nice on them, they've gone past that point, clearly crossing into the "murderous" area.
Don't get me wrong though, those who enjoy firing rockets across the border into Israel are fanatical fools as well.
Both sides need to be thrown in jail. Where the hell is a strong world police when we need one?
If this ever comes to a truce, those borders need to be FLOODED with blue heltmet troops. Not enough bluies? FORCE UN NATIONS TO CONTRIBUTE THEIR NATIONAL TROOPS TO THE CAUSE! Change the UN rules so that it's compulsory for participating members to contribute troops to maintain stability is hotzones.
Yes, u read it clearly. I want Portugal (my nation) to contribute up to 50% of its military power to this cause. Take my stupid tax money, I don't care! Actually, I do care! What the hell am I paying taxes fpr if not for good causes? Is world peace and stability not a good cause enough for you? It's beyond any other cause for me. This is absurd, we need to take steps so that this never occurs again, there and anywhere on earth. This region is way, way too volatile for us to be playing around with politics.

think we're a pretty smart people, even when evidence to the contrary
is overwhelming. And nowhere is that evidence more overwhelming than in
the Middle East. History in the Middle East is everything, and we
Americans seem to learn nothing from it.

Truman took about 20 minutes to recognize the state of Israel when it
declared independence in 1948. Since then, more than 58 years of war,
terrorism and blood-letting have led to the events of the past week.
Even
now, as Katyusha rockets rain down on northern Israel and Israeli
fighter jets blast Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, we
simultaneously decry radical Islamist terrorism and Israel's lack of
restraint in defending itself.
And the U.S. government, which
wants no part of a cease-fire until Israel is given every opportunity
to rescue its kidnapped soldiers and destroy as many Hezbollah and
Hezbollah armaments as possible, urges caution in the interest of
preserving a nascent and fragile democratic government in Lebanon.
Could we be more conflicted?
While the United States provides
about $2.5 billion in military and economic aid to Israel each year,
U.S. aid to Lebanon amounts to no more than $40 million. This despite
the fact that the per capita GDP of Israel is among the highest in the
world at $24,600, nearly four times as high as Lebanon's GDP per capita
of $6,200.
Lebanon's lack of wealth is matched by the
Palestinians -- three out of every four Palestinians live below the
poverty line. Yet the vast majority of our giving in the region flows
to Israel. This kind of geopolitical inconsistency and shortsightedness
has contributed to the Arab-Israeli conflict that the Western world
seems content to allow to perpetuate endlessly.
After a week of
escalating violence, around two dozen Israelis and roughly 200 Lebanese
have died. That has been sufficient bloodshed for United Nations
Secretary General Kofi Annan and British Prime Minister Tony Blair to
join in the call for an international security force, ignoring the fact
that a U.N. force is already in Southern Lebanon, having failed to
secure the border against Hezbollah's incursions and attacks and the
murder and kidnapping of Israeli soldiers.
As our airwaves fill
with images and sounds of exploding Hezbollah rockets and Israeli
bombs, this seven-day conflict has completely displaced from our view
another war in which 10 Americans and more than 300 Iraqis have died
during the same week. And it is a conflict now of more than three years
duration that has claimed almost 15,000 lives so far this year alone.
An
estimated 50,000 Iraqis and more than 2,500 American troops have been
killed since the insurgency began in March of 2003, which by some
estimates is more than the number of dead on both sides of the
Arab-Israeli conflict over the past 58 years of wars and intifadas.
Yet
we have seen no rescue ships moving up the Euphrates for Iraqis who are
dying in their streets, markets and mosques each day. French Prime
Minister Dominique de Villepin has not leaped to Baghdad as he did
Beirut. And there are no meetings of the Arab League, and no U.S.
diplomacy with Egypt, Syria and Jordan directed at ending the Iraqi
conflict.
In the Middle East, where is our sense of proportion?

honestly dude , whos opinion is not made up from type of media, unless you are there, all your opinion can be based on is, news, heresay, newspapers, and blogs like this, thats why i stated what i did in my earlier post, it has all become background hiss, the ''norm'' so to say whenever you hear anything about mid-east,what else is there too do but throw yer arms up and say well wtf people, ok, go ahead and kill eachother, or be friends, im living my own life now.

every time we kill a terrorist, a civilian, a muslim, etc, we're killing someone with a mother, a father, a wife, and a family, with relatives and social connections.
inevitably, everyone is somebodies child, and if we havent properly demonized them like the way we do to criminals in this country, people are going to be disturbed that you killed them.
you instantly turn 100 people against you once you knock someone off, and who knows how many more are swayed just by listening to the plight of that persons relatives?
again, it's an inability to see a bigger picture, you either kill all of them, or you have a whole lot of converted terrorists.
