This is why im happy Funcom didnt completely sell itself to EA to make TSW, We dont feel their claws in the game. If im not mistaken EA only financed it a little and printed the disks.
EA printed the discs for TSW in th…
Asking 10 people about grouping doesn't make it particularily scientific since the margin of error has to be huge. At the same time, it's waaaay better than the typical rants that plagues these forums.

2) The grind in the expansion was a precaution, because AoC players were always finding ways to exploit the crap out of the content. So we figured we would build in the grind, and th…
It's actually not the tab-targetting that feels wrong, atleast not in my opinion. What feels wrong is that you have a rifle on full auto, hitting the mob and it just doesn't die. The same goes for the shotgun. I see why they have done it gameplay wi…
Real-life auction houses takes the same kind of fee - actually they can go even larger. I have seen 15% from the seller and 15% from the buyer. I don't really see the problem.
The OP is right about worse sales than expected, but according to Funcom the retention is so far looking good. It's a bit early to say anything more than that I guess.
Actually, it does look like the player base for SWTOR has stabilized, just look at xfire, it's at the same number of players now as it was two months ago. They said they needed 500k+ subscribers, and that is what they have.

I answered no, but there should have been a "No, but going to go back to it later" option in the poll. I will 99% sure get the expansion and pick up the game with regular intervals over the coming years, just like with Diablo 2.
Xfire is usually a good for looking at trends for games. I have used it for AoC and SWTOR to guesstimate the number of players and such. The thing is that you usually need at least one point of data to start the extrapolation to actual player number…
I have raided a lot in AoC and the raids there were really really good. With the way the decks are so flexible in TSW, I think they can create more varied Raids in TSW than they could with AoC. In AoC you could never have a Raid encounter that neede…
A really good article and it does highlight how the story in TSW is told quite differently to other games. It's all about your character discovering, investigating and holding back the tide - if only for a short while.
It really like how it's re…

Either just get the basic game with no frills, or go with the life time sub. The initiate/whatever packs aren't giving you any extra value for your money just some startup booster gear.

You can see from the equipment if they are at endgame or not.
Anyway, it's not really hard getting to endgame, it's just takes time. Out of 5 people I know, one is at "endgame" (or nightmare dungeons if you want). I believe this is the guy (if …
