You have to understand, in this game you can solo to lvl 10-11 and after that you have to get into a party in order to get good exp. You should probably go for rdm/whm or rdm/blm. Also, to get pld you need to be at least lvl 30 with any job.

Well, you give the coupon to a certain NPC (can't really remember the name since the name is different in each nation) and he/she gives you some starting gils and something else i think. As for the quest, not sure. Try to shout ingame.
