YEA!! SOLUTION! change the 'Target' line in the properties of the shortcut to: "C:Program FilesCity of HeroesCohUpdater.exe" -useTexEnvCombine graphics kind of suck, but the game runs fairly well -- it definately has to do with the ATI adapter

Not what I wanted to hear, but thanks for your help. I have current drivers and have tried a completely clean install. I did get upgraded to actual an actual support technician, so maybe there is hope.

I am already running all video/sound options set to minimum, and the game is unplayable long before my page file usage even reaches the amount of RAM I have (i have 1.25 gigs of RAM, and I can't play when total system usage is 750 Megs).
