As long as you go with the original account that you have activated FFXIV 1.0 with, I do believe you'll be able to download it for free. I don't think you'll need your old codes to be able to do so.

It would seem that the loot scrolling side bar, is set to above your mini-map, and not a way (That I know of) to move. So, since I put my mini-map to the top right, it messed the bar up, and couldn't see it.
