The community. I've run into some negative communities in MMOs before, but I've never filled up my ignore list so fast in any game I have ever played, because not only would they mock me in zone chat, but they would barrage me with whispers telling …
I think it's necessary to break down "dungeons" into different groups according to their different purposes.
Leveling dungeons:
1. FFXIV (They are not hesitant to add multiple mechanics to a lowbie dungeon)
2. ESO (Mainly due to lowbie's lack of …
I agree that challenge is welcome. However this is probably the only current major MMO without gear chase yet still manages to have meaningful itemization, and we need to return to gear treadmill? I think this is the last thing ESO needs. Hardest co…
Some of the issues are resolved or improved already. "Cheap" enemy difficulty at high levels that forced you to play with certain builds is adjusted. I feel the automatic grouping tool is actually faster than many other games because while leveling,…
Err... No. So you think you are distinguished from the "filthy casuals", but in fact you are still one of them!
1. Raid? Or should we rather call it "human keyboard macro"? What sort of l33t players would reduce themselves to machines? Go PVP! Go s…
Specialization instead of pure progression. kind of like EVE. You need a variety of roles in a PVP team. The longer you play, the more fancy roles you can get into, but you will always need a few basic roles which new players can play just as good a…
Can we all agree now that these scores are simply (9+3)/2, the average of lovers and haters? For some, it's 9. For others, it's 3. It's not fair to say it is 6 to general gamers because there are no general gamers.
Coming from FFXIV I feel the combat design philosophy has "a la Titan" all over it... Warning to other games: DO NOT WALK DOWN THIS PATH! You will be hated!
Have you played DotA, or LoL? Good luck trying to convince people that these games are easier to play than your four-hotbar monstrosity that WoW has become.
There were a huge amount of negativity when ARR was released. It's just that the negativity seemed to be more "contained" and limited to within the community, but it is definitely there. I don't know why hostiles are more vocal about ESO but it is d…
I think I actually quite enjoy both. However I think there aren't enough "true sci-fi" games or even just IPs out there. I have always considered Star Wars as futuristic style fantasy rather than sci-fi. We can't possibly hope to make a sci-fi game …

But if its ok to do that or if its something that should get you banned is another matter.

1-2 months. Yeah, i imagined it was about that long. But i wonder if the whole tuned for 4 players will cause problems. Most players will PUG, and trying to explore a whole zone, listening to cutscenes, wanting to go …
I think corss-platform and the aesthetic feel really help. Otherwise I don't think it is better than SWTOR because they are similar and FFXIV even feels smaller.

I really hate the GTA series, but some of the author's points are quite valid. People should have realized that two years ago when Skyrim came out, but sadly...
