All that time and effort could've been spent on a sequel. I would prefer a different franchise though, such as, World of Starcraft, or perhaps a World of Diablo. Nostalgia isn't always great. You have to take the bad as well as the good.

I would only go back to WoW if there was a proper sequel with a new engine and focus. The current WoW is too outdated for me.

This is nothing new. Virtual worlds such as SL have been selling plots/parcels for over a decade now. It seems very restrictive from what i've read here though.
