Well, the "allotment" garden can be used by other people, if the owner hasn't already taken his crop for the day. Which seems weird, but still...
Sleep well!
Lots of interesting posts - the article has really stirred things up. I'm happy with GW2; I don't like games that insist on me paying a subscription every month, but I have no objection to buying some gems occasionally to support the game and its c…
Yes, I experimented today and found that people could farm the new garden plot if I hadn't taken the stuff for myself yet... different people could do it at different times, and after that I farmed the 4 nodes myself. So I converted a bit more gold…
...I can also add that visitors to your home instance are not able to harvest what you have planted, unlike the normal "nodes." They just see "growing plants" if they use the launchpad to visit that corner.
Interesting, the mention of housing.…
The Garden Plot is a buy-for-gems feature, not in the Black Lion chests. It seems like fun - you can find extra seeds for more exotic plants by going out and farming the regular plants in the countryside.
I'd go along with Guild Wars 2, as it has so much story of so many different kinds... but it would have been nice to see the old original Guild Wars in there too, even if the "massively multiplayer" bit is limited to outposts...
Opinion seems divided over whether the handling of the launch of the expansion has been a total shambles and an absolute disgrace, or an absolute shambles and a total disgrace. Trying to start the new story, and get access to Elona, just gives the …
Elona, land of the golden sun... The preview weekend, allowing us to ride around part of one of the new maps, was fun, and I'm looking forward to exploring the rest of the place. A player kindly showed a group of us how to access one mastery point,…
Apparently quite a few people have been getting a "Unable to verify the Guild Wars 2 executable" error after the update - uninstalling, then renaming Gw2Setup.exe to Gw2.exe, putting it into its own folder and running it seems to be the solution, th…
I do miss the old WvW borderlands maps - the new ones are pretty inhospitable and hard to explore. I have at least finally found the veteran warg for a daily achievement, which is something - but there's really no incentive to play WvW these days, …
Swamp Behemoth is tedious now, taking so long - and I've given up on Tequatl temporarily, it's annoying to be fighting along pretty well, with maybe almost half the dragon's health gone - and suddenly the rotmouths spawn and we've lost. Some more w…
If you want open world PvP, I don't know why you'd be playing GW2, which is based on cooperation. If you see someone dead nearby, you rush over to res them. If you see a player in trouble, you automatically help them - you'll get a "ty," not an "o…
Much as I enjoy GW2, and like the way even high-level players can have fun in the lower level areas, the thing that's annoying people in World versus World lately is hackers, generally (for our server at least) from Far Shiverpeaks... it's greatly a…
I wonder how GW1 is doing now? I nay not have logged in, even for the Halloween, winter or Canthan New Year festivities this time around, but it's comforting to know all my characters are still there...
The most important bit is that we will now get shown how long the queue is, which will certainly make life easier - it took them long enough. A new map to check out sounds useful, though many WvW people just go in a borderland until they can get in…
Poor DK Online is officially suspended, "on hold" now; It didn't grab me. I can't say I found the beta for Dragons Prophet very encouraging, from the way the opening narrative as spoken and as subtitled differed wildly, while Neverwinter does have …
The ability to watch PvP/GvG like a TV channel, which GW1 did so well, seems to be a bit of a fizzle as a new GW2 option - and one that costs money to set up? It's scandalous that guilds still don't have their guild halls, which ought to be one of …
