• I downloaded the game manually (not from the launcher) from the Vanguard website, and the patching looks like it's only going to take about 1.5 hours. Thats why I'll never try downloading the game from the launcher again.

• I have the exact same problem, never have I reached max level with a character, not even in freaking Guild Wars. I always start a new character after a few levels. My highest level character is a 49 Hunter in WoW.

• I must agree, the original SOE hairstyles are not the best looking. The alternate models look a little better, but a lot of them look very anime esque.
