When asked what my biggest MMO disappointment was, I used to say that it was closure of Asheron's Call 2 servers. But, as they are again online, I am gonna answer WAR - they didn't do anything right with it except the artwork. I will also throw in L…

Nothing. Played AC1 long ago, and dabbled in AC2 a little before the first official shutdown. The problem is that there are better choices available for free, so why would I pay to play a game akin to EQ when I can pla…

Tolkien was not high fantasy. It was low fantasy. Magic was rare. Turbine's "middle earth" has become a generic fantasy world. For those who read Tolkien as a child it is quite sad to see the uniqueness of that world…
I like level system best, it has the best RPG value for meg. But, I do not like a reachable level-cap. Soft-cap is the way to go - if the level-cap is lvl 100, the soft-cap should range from lvl 40-75ish...I don't like the bait&switch formula al…

Originally posted by Ryukan I would not play AC 2 if it came back as f2p. I enjoyed Asheron's Call a lot and it was my first MMO love, but I did not care for Asheron's Call 2 very much because the gameplay and character systems diverted so much from…

The debuff don't bother me that much, its about 90% at the level it should be
I actually liked how the Khitai endgame group dungeons were done, but the fraction grind was just ridiculously boring and laughable executed, especially how it was tied into the main story quest-line. Zones filled with repeatable fraction grind ques…

The expansion was both a fail and win for me. The solo content and fraction system was a big fail, but the group content and the AA system was a big win.
I said earlier that I didn't have a good feeling about the expansion due to the badly disguised grind, but after I got a relaxed attitude towards AA advancement and fraction grind the expansion have grown on me. The only thing I don't like is the ep…
