I miss it so much. I've never had so much fun playing a character in a game before. My character started out in Alliance Bay on Naboo (thanks to Darj) and I later founded the city of Rocky Mountain on Tat.
Now I'm sad
I think the saddest thing is that we will never see another game like SWG again. We'll never see a game with so many professions in a skill tree based system that was a completely open-ended experience. We're going to see dumbed down WoW clone…
If you've never played SWG before, you'll probably like it.
If you've played before, you'll hate it. The reason why is it used to be so much better. If you've never played before you won't know how good the game used to be, so you'll enjoy it. He…
Only if it was really starting from scratch. If everyone could bring their stuff, you'd be bringing the same broken economy from the previous server.
I think starting from scratch on a blank canvas would be fun.

Seeing that SOE(and most other companies) don't release their subcriber numbers, those numbers were probably made up by someone as an estimate.
I know everyone has said it over and over, but adding "classic" type servers would give both custome…
You mean kind of what SWG did and make jedi a starting profession? It really ruins the Star Wars experience for me seeing a dozen 14 year old jedi dueling in the middle of a city saying "I pwned joo"
Look at SWG. No advertising for the game whatsoever until the NGE hit. Then it's all over the TV and internet. Too bad they didn't promote the game when it was in its greatness.
Smed never admitted the NGE was a mistake. He has said time and again that the the biggest mistake was the IMPLEMENTATION of the NGE, not the game changes. As we all know, it was a huge mistake, but he'll never admit to that.

That's nice... Oh wait, were we supposed to care?
Ramon! Check your PM box!
Because he "thinks" he's really sticking it to SOE. Man, they are really hurt by his actions. The only people he is hurting are VETS LIKE HIM that are STILL PLAYING however and can't level up their city because of ghost cities. Way to stick it to…
OMFG...
For the last time people, NO ONE IS GOING TO LOSE ANY ITEMS! THE HOUSES ARE SIMPLY GOING TO BE PUT INTO YOUR DATAPAD. I am a summer of 03 vet and hate the NGE but c'mon, read a little and get your facts straight before you post.

You guys are really naive. If another company made a new SW MMO or we got SWG2 it would still have:
1. A level based system
2. Fewer professions
3. No decay
4. A dumbed down crafting system
5. Loot >Crafted items
Most other MMO's fol…
"If" they make a SWG2 it will not be aa snadbox type game. They will model it after WoW and it will be a kiddie game. You'll never play another MMO like the original SWG ever again.
My main problem with the game has nothing to do with the new combat. I was more of a role player and loved the sandbox feel of the game. I am more upset with the following:
The removal of decay.
The removal of the professions and skill trees.…
