I think the people causing all the noise in WOW will dissipate in a few months. I saw these types in DAOC and they only lasted a month or two and moved on. A MMORPG does not have a specific end cut screen and this will frustrate these people. A…
The fans of EQ2 and WoW are very sad. To say one game is better than another is ridiculous. Sure each has their own pros and cons but both should be good games (who knows until release and broad group of people play the game). Both target a differ…
Make sure you down load the right files from sites listed. There is a different down load for Toa and SI
And make sure you run the file and don't simply down load it.
Everyone was having problems with patch errors due to the large volume of peo…
My understanding is a character has not been deleted unless you have deleted it. The Herald use to say that a character would be deleted from an inactive accounts after 3 months, or something, but this has not happened.
Phil O'Neil, president of North American operations for Vivendi Universal Games has stated November 2004 on CNN. (Vivendi is the parent of Blizzard, if you didn't know)

1. You don't need to wait for Frontiers to start. Frontiers is focused on the high level RvR. There are some small benefits to lower level players but not a lot.
2. The leveling time to 50 is between 5 to 17 played days. At 8 hours a week that …
Blizzard official response:
Why was Rest State added:
1) Increase some sense of realism and role playing in the game by incorporating the concept of Inns and characters sleeping

Exploits in Betas Given that the game (Lineage II) is in Beta, exploiters are not bad, as long as they report it. It is beta, not a live game. An issue arises if the exploit is not fixed in the live game or the player refuses to report it. Have…
Lotarious - I agree that your version of the golf analogy is how the games and some gamers think the game should be played. However, the handicap system in golf would work if a person and gamers would agree to them. To even out the match in golf a…
TOA brought in artifacts and master levels. Both require large time-sinks to achieve and level. The artifacts and master levels supposedly give people a big edge in RvR. I cannot comment from experience because I have not made it to lvl 50 to see…
I would agree that Clever_Gloves was correct with the analogy to golf. I can never compete with a professional (unless we use a handicap system) and I dont want too, it is waste of my time and his. However, I still can and like to play golf an…
I think DAOC can work for a casual gamer. I only play an hour or two a night. I can't keep up with the hard core gamers, but a casual gamer never will. You can log in for a few hours get something done, have fun and log out. The key is picking a…
If a person ever read all the legal stuff on and inside the box, they would likely see a clause that allows the company to discontinue the game or service, change the content, etc.
This gives the ability to shut down and change a game with little …
DAOC is solo friendly, but there are certain classes which soloing is very difficult and slow.
I have soloed a fire wizard, a thane, a necro, a mistral, an enchanter, a ranger, and a hero. The necro was the easiest to solo and at the other extrem…
If a person or companies wants to develop a game they need to understand their market and consumers. They need to understand who their subscribers are and what they want. I think some games try to cater to many different types of gamers (Casual…

Where to begin?
I will agree with you that if a person agrees with your arguments that they should end up at your conclusion.
My comment about an implied premise is probably captured by your first premise and is, after re-readi…
I will apologize in advance if what I say here has been discussed previously, but I could not tolerate reading 28 pages and quit after 14 pages. I did read the first post, however.
Krimminal99 started this thread making an argument which leads…
