I am sorry to agree - but the game is not what I hoped for either.
Was hoping for a wow killer - but it's far fram that.
How hard can it be to make "the" game?
EDIT: THE SOLUTION BELOW DOES NOT WORK FOR ME
Only the solution where you replace the values in your "user folder", as I did in the first post of this thread works...

Here is a much easier solution - with the sa…
LOTRO has a major flaw: the combat system is too damn boring.
You feel like you are waiting for the bus.
I really hate Turbine for making such a fine game, but having such a crap combat system.
Would play it all the time with a more active com…
Glad to help!
I am so shocked they put that fadein/out ingame. Funcom explain it or let people know about how to fix it - you are ruining your own game by having this...
Now the rest of you - try it, you won't regret it.
The answer for you is easy: LOTRO
Try the free trial: http://www.lotro.com (look a bit down on the right side for thr trial link)
It got great lore, looks sweet and plays good. Choose an RP server and you are home.
For me LOTRO is not a game you rush to the highest level, like WoW has become. People that are hardcore levellers/raiders should not treat LOTRO the same way. For me it is a more casual game. It will evolve over time. I really hope the developers do…
I do not wanna bash anyone, but why post a topic named "LOTRO personal review", when it seems as if you have not played for long. In general, if anyone ever wants to post impressions about a game, then please play the game atleast 20-30h so you know…
It's a fine game and deserves the #1 spot until something great comes along.
Some question: Howcome some people that have not played LOTRO for atleast 20 hours or so have opinions about if it is great or not?
It's the #1 PC game at amazon.co.uk (the others above are console games):

I think the people you call haters are just fed up with the game.
They expected a standard setting game, and all they see is a EQII copy with really high computer demands.
If the game had been a bit more unlike EQII in the graphics department …
Just great, the damn launchpad crashed. Lucky I was here to restart it.
Gonna be interesting to see what has happened when I return from work. Piece of sh_t..
Well, the looks of a game are rather important to me to get into the groove. I am not 100% into the EQ-style graphics. I wished they had made it a little, little bit more like WoW. It looks a bit "stiff" as it is.
Well, gonna take a look atleast.…
