The game is actually running way better for me since todays patch. Shadows now seem to be working properly and I've gone from about 25 frames per second to about 50 without changing any of my settings.
I'm running it on high settings with 2x aa an…

I will only be using a single optical drive, HD, and graphics card. Probably 3 or 4 fans.
At the moment I do not need dx10. Probably next year, yes. However, I get a nice income tax return every spring, so I could probably afford a more expensive card by then.

I think it may do the job
Quite likely. But it's $200 vs. $100. I'm on a tight budget.
I got 2 gigs of G-skill ddr2 800.
Edited to add:
This looks neet.

You may have noticed my thread asking for advice.
I have built about 5 computers now. Most recently I put together a p3 system for my 10year old daughter to do her school work on.
It's not super difficult to do. But it is easy to screw up. I bur…

Warhammer's art style is old old old. I used to play the table top game when I was a teenager.
So far as I can tell the game devs are staying true to the games workshop art style.
To draw a comparason between WoW and EQ1.... (sort of off topic)
The thing I loved about EQ1 was the way a balanced group could turn a difficult encounter into an easy one. The things I hated about EQ1 is pretty much everything else... spending …
Well, I never played UO, but I did play a lot of EQ.
A fair amount of people played EQ. Most of them complained about it endlessly. There was really no other game to play of it's kind untill AC and DAoC came along and by then EQ had a lot more co…
