  • Some good guids of where to adventure: Solo: http://www.eq2i.com/articles/Soloing_Timeline Group Dungeons: http://www.eq2i.com/articles/Dungeon_Timeline
  • Originally posted by INSANEPOOKIE The players of EQ2 are twits and childish. That's the only reason for the lack of love for EQ2 if compared to a real game or WOW. If you think the players and community of WOW are mature, then this would be a…
  • Not sure what is up with the "don't want to play Everquest 2 since it is Everquest comments".  They are pretty ignorant since EQ2 is more like WoW than EQ1.  However, for people to jump to such silly conclusions does point back to impropper marketin…

  • Locked encounters are a choice and not the default for a group. You can turn it on though if you are in a very competitive area.
  • The majority of the content in the game is for non-raiders as the majority of the players are non-raiders.  As someone mentioned you only need raid gear to raid harder raids.  This is the first game I have played where there is enough content in it …
  • Originally posted by airhead  Just not enough quests in the game imo.   LOL.  I guess that is why people have to turn off combat XP if they want any hope of completing all the quests in just one zone before they outlevel them. No population d…
  • Some of the quests are simple kill x of this, but i just skip those and do the long running story driven quests.  If you did every quest in the game you could level a character many times over so just do the ones that you like.
  • Love the game and the changes SOE has made to it.  I hope they keep up the good work.
  • Been playing for a few months now myself.  Wife and I love it.  I only have WoW to compare to but there is so much more to do it is amazing.  Every week we are discovering new areas and dungeons to explore (and we like all the zones so far and don't…
  • My entire group moved over from WoW a few months ago.  We love it.  Much deeper game, community is MUCH better (I actually enjoy grouping now as apposed to dreading it), and the quests are great.  Sure there are lots of regular go kill x quests but …
  • Don't know much about end game yet, but I can make some comments.  You have three levels you are working to advance.  Your adventure level, your artisian level (if you do tradecrafting), and your guild level if you are in a guild.  There are special…

  • I played WoW till lvl 60.  I loved the game.  The end game was not to my liking and there was not enough content to get me to play another character so I quit it.  Been playing EQ2 for a couple of months now.  I like it much better than WoW.  More c…

  • Grouping is still very much alive in the lower levels.  I just started a month ago on the Lucan server and have had no problems finding groups.  There seem to be lots of new players to the game too not just new twinks. Between that and the excelle…
  • My wife and I left WoW a couple of months ago and just started EQ2 about a month ago.  Loving it so far and wish we had left long ago.  The population is not ad big as WoW, but in my opinion there were too many people running around in WoW.  One odd…
  • Crafting is interactive.  You don't just sit there and watch it.  You need to use your tradeskill buffs to work with your progress and durability meters.  Doing so you can get pristine every time and pristines come with better stats.
  • I love the crafting in EQ2.  I hated it in WoW - a meaningless exercise that created crap no one wanted.  Sure the normal items you create in EQ2 are not any better than the normal looked items, but the Mastercrafted stuff using rares are excellent …
  • I'll try it when it comes out, but pretty happy with EQ2 right now.  Maybe when I have finished with my first few characters.
  • I noticed the same thing when I started.  I am on Lucan, there is some chat in the 1-9 channel but it really kiked in in the 10-29 and higher channels.
  • Don't you get experience from PvP too?  The PvP in WoW was horrible so I can't imagine anything worse.
