I guess the social aspect of it, and raiding was a big part of it for me, kept me playing for a long time. But WoW for me was a different sort of MMO, just didn't feel like every other game, gradually i got bored, took a year though.

Most casual guilds will clear it in a few days, some need the full week as they learn the encounters i suppose, would be nice for it to have a 3 day reset timer, we clear it in around 4 hours now and waiting a week is pretty lame.
