I never could quite get in to Puzzle Pirates, loved Bang! Howdy though. Anyway, if you like "coffee break" type games, you could check out Pogo. It's not set up like Pirates at all, but there's plenty co-operative and competitive games there.

I could be wrong about this, but I don't believe there is a list of subscribed threads. As far as I know, subscribing to a thread simply sends you email alerts when a thread has been responded to.

Value, or the amount of content versus money spent, is a perfectly acceptable category to help rate a game. You're right about that last point though.
