I will never protest anything, don't want to be on an FBI watch list (though I probably already am because of my posting on the internet-> Not at this site, other sites with other handels).

Always good to have a drink after you hear/say something that makes sense. Drinking brings equalibrium so you don't make too much sense.

How do you think our troops feel seeing anti war protests? I was in the military during nam and anti war protests really affected our moral. Dont say it doesnt either. They are fighting for a cause and people are protesting agianst it?? DUH!!! How would you feel?!!!!!!!!
Protesting the war is not supporting our troops.
But i guess sending our troops over to a pointless war is really great support too. letting them die day by day for personal vendettas really says "i support you fully." Quit being a troll too

The war is not pointless. In your mind it is, but in the mind of all the relatives that lost their loved ones in the twin towers, it isnt. It is a proven fact that Iraq harbored terrorrists and that Sadaam was a tyrant killing thousands on a regular basis. Pointless?
I think its time someones head needs to be extracted from that hole its in, it sure isnt mine.

On-topic, I'm all up for the Iraq War but the Afghan war is a total waste of time, money and life.
Edit. P.S. your facts about Iraq and Terrorism are pretty weak. His secret service tried to assasinate Bush, and Saddam promised $15,000 to every suicide bombers family in Palestine. Same as any other number of countries have done, and less than many.
N.B. Any attempt to link Saddam's regime with September the Eleventh is just willful deception. It's disgraceful to think that any of your fellow countrymen should have been led to believe this. Giving ones life for one's country is an extremely high sacrifice and not one that should be treated with so little respect.

Oh, so the removal of a dangerous threat to the entire world wasn't necessary? Tell that to the citizens of Iraq who died horrible deaths when Saddam tested nerve gas and other chemical agents on them, in order to get maximum potency with his warheads.

Saddam wasn't a threat to the world...are you high? He couldn't get WMDs remember? We didn't find any.

I don't think those Iraqi's much liked us either.
To the original question, I've never protested or wanted to protest. I support our troops and admire their bravery. I just don't believe in ripping a country apart that had nothing to do with the "reason" we're supposedly there.
Iraq has been fought over by every major power in the last hundred years. This war is hardly pointless. The reasons that our publicity managed leaders gave us for war were immensely pointless. But so many people wouldn't have fought there so often if there was nothing worth fighting for.
There are a lot more people dying in Iraq now than before the war. Doesn't this seem to be what everyone should expect during a war? I think international relations are definitely the biggest fall out of this war, but if America doesn't invade anywhere for 10 years, everyone will soon forget.
