Actually there is an economist who explains how America is actually using it's debt to control the world.  Can't think of the name right now.  Since we owe so many so much money since practically the beginning; it's been in their interest that we survive.  And all that borrowing allowed us to build up the nation to what it is today; and now if nations want their debts repaid- they will do what we say because if we don't pay them; there's not a god damned thing they can do about it.

Kind of funny how debt is the source of this nation's power.

Hope you got your things together. Hope you are quite prepared to die. Looks like we're in for nasty weather. ... There's a bad moon on the rise.

Dude, aren't you tired of spreading your messages of hatred? I know I'm tired of hearing you spout them at every opportunity. The Unitarian Universalist Church must be a very hateful place indeed.

Nope, I definately meant to quote reavo.

Every chance he gets he attacks Christianity outright.

"... the magician or the antagonist that Christians claim Jesus or God is." That's specifically what I'm referencing. Did he need to put that in his post? Absolutely not, but he wanted to get in an attack on Christianity once again.

I was trying to find a word to describe him and his campaign of hatred against Christianity, but I don't know if there's a perjorative (or word for that matter) in the english language to describe it.

What do you call it when someone is so close-minded and narrow-minded, that they only ever spout hate-mongering bigottry and prejudice without any actual necessity?

That's certainly not the way I or any of the other Christians I know do things. I would hate to think that it's a product of his "religion". I find it weird that the only UUC member I've ever even been acquainted with causes me to have such a low opinion of him.

Frankly I'm just tired of his constant attacks on other peoples beliefs. Every couple days it seems he comes up with a new thread to attack Christianity, Creationists, the government, or whatever else he seems to be hating on at the time.

Dumb topic to begin with, can't we just let it die? The OP revealed the big secret pages and pages ago.

    1.  religion is not a stupid topic, it affects all of us, whether we are religious or not.

    2.  the topic has been on the first 2 pages for several weeks now, i wouldnt call that dead.

    3.  and there is no big secret.  this is a public thread, opinions are welcome.

    1. No, Religion is not a stupid topic. Yes, the way it was presented in the OP was.

    2. You're right. Unfortunately, I haven't ventured past the first page since log on until this came back up.

    3. The big secret was that it was a post from another forum. The OP was quoting something he posted on another forum to get a rise out of us. I don't see how that relates to opinions being welcome.

I couldnt read all of this.

nonetheless, can't you all think for yourself. Do you really need a book that brings about this much controversy?

Maybe you all can give me the highlights if you don't cause too much trouble doing so.

You may be thinking, why should I give you anything? -- you could read it all for yourself.

    All I'm reading is nonsense.

True compassion is teaching people how to care for themselves.  Caring for them only maintains the status quo, if not threatening to make things worse.
