Thanks for dissing my church and my religion.
FYI, my grandparents, parents, myself, and most of my family are all members of the Unitarian Church. I don't know why you feel justified in putting us down but I'll keep that in mind in further conversations we have. I have read a lot of your posts and thought you were a pretty decent person up until now. Seriously, I didn't expect that from you.
I will try to keep my cool here and just invite you to read about the history of the Unitarian Church. I understand that most people don't understand it because I have to explain it a lot of times. But I rarely ever come up against someone who makes comments like yours. I'm sorry you feel the way you do about us.
I'm sorry, I just had to see if this is what reavo was really saying. Considering he contiually "disses" Christianity and Creationism. Tell me reavo, why do you feel justified in putting down someone elses beliefs when you get upset if someone does it to your beliefs? Is it just that you can't stand your own medicine?
The irony is astounding.
I have never put down someone else's religion. I have actually told people on this board not to give up their religion when they were considering atheism. I have advised them to look deeper into their spirituality and reconsider their choice.
I don't know where you got the idea that I have ever put down someone else's religion. I know it goes on a lot on these boards so maybe you're mistaking me for someone else. Or maybe you're mistaking me challenging someone else's religion as putting it down. Yeah, I challenge other people's beliefs. I challenge my own in my head everyday. I think everyone should do that. I do not believe in blind faith of anything.
I have questioned other people on these boards a lot, I admit that, but I have done it with respect. Not sat there and made fun of them or belittled their beliefs. I stand up for anyone to believe whatever they want. The only time I get mad at someone is when they mock someone else's beliefs or say another person is wrong.
I have attended Unitarian Church since I was a baby. Since then I have gone to 4 different ones as I have moved. I declared myself a Unitarian when I was asked in Navy and it's on my dog tags. And seriously, I have only had someone say the things that outfctrl said I know less than 5 times in my life. People have questioned me about it, but hardly ever said anything offensive. And I don't mind the questions.
If you ever see me say anything offensive to someone else about their religion or put them down then you let me know. It's just not my nature, so I know I haven't done it. I love diversity in beliefs. And i enjoy respect of those beliefs as well.

Heh, I await the bullshit excuse with giddy anticipation. reavo, I don't care if you want to bash on Christianity and devote thread to attempts of yours to find inconsistancies in our beliefs, but if you're going to do that, don't get all up in a huff when someone does it right back at you.
He wasn't pointing out an inconsistency in my belief. He was making fun of my belief and belittling it.
I don't understand this. I thought you guys were more mature than to take someone questioning your belief as an insult. Like I said, I question my own beliefs all the time.
Look, if you guys can't take someone questioning your belief system and consider it an insult then I don't know what to tell you. I mean, you guys can question my belief and we can bounce things off each other all day and it wouldn't bother me one bit.

Thats interesting, it reminds of of the Catholic church. Except they supposedly have God appointed priests who molested and abused quite a few children. I guess God didn't know that was going to happen.
Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!
Actually reavo, time and time again I see you attack Christianity and Creationism. (I don't even believe in Creationism but I see how much you harrangue on them)
You post biased articles, or articles that don't really say anything, and then you insinuate that it supports your ideas and make comments like "When will these Creationists come back to reality" . You post biased videos and then talk about how backwards and stupid Christianity is. You talk about the Christian kids in your class like they are monsters, you talk about their Christian parents like they are fascists or something. You "lol" at them like they are stupid because they don't like what you are teaching their children..
I've actually seen you say that you hate Christianity.
Don't try to backpedal now. If you're going to be a Bigot, that's fine, just don't be a hypocrite about it too.
I believe in equality in the way that if you're going to attack someone elses beliefs, don't cry bloody murder when they do the same to you.

Alright. I tell you what. All you have to do is click on my name up there in the top left of this response and you can see every damn comment I've ever made on this forum. Then since you remember me making the crude comments you have accused me of, then go ahead and post them for everyone to see!!!
I have never said all Christians are stupid. I have never said anything bad about the kids in my classes or their parents. For you to say something like that is slanderous at the least. I believe in presenting all sides of a topic to my classes and that's the way I was taught to teach. That's what my district promotes and that's EXACTLY what I do. What I have said about some of my student's parents is that there are some that DO NOT want their kids exposed to different point's of views and to that I have suggested to them to either try to find a private school or home school their kids. I think you are still stuck in your headtrip that if someone challenges a way of thinking (mostly yours) that they are insulting someone.
And I do not think of any of the kids in my classes of any of the years I have been teaching as "monsters". If there were kids in my classes like that then why the hell would I enjoy teaching so much and why the f*ck would I have just been given teacher of the year? You don't know anything about my teaching skills or my attitude towards ALL of my student's for you to say what you have just said. I take particular insult to that. You're talking about my career here man. Something I put my heart and soul into every fuc*ing day I am there. If you could just follow me around for one day you would be so sorry for what you said.
I don't know where you came out of left field with these accusations, but like I said, just click on my name and start searching for those crude comments you have accused me of saying. Have at it.

**EDIT**
Dude, I just went back and looked at some of your posts trying to see if there was somewhere maybe I said something that pissed you off for you to make accusations like that. The only thing I can gather from reading your posts is that you disagree with me on a lot of things. So what??? Big deal, man. Does that mean you have to come and insult me like you did? Like I said, I question everything. If it is insulting to you to have someone question something you believe then why are you trying to have a discussion on a discussion board about things? Discussions are not meant to be everyone agreeing with each other and then having cake and ice cream together. And that is especially not the case in a debate. But disagreeing with someone does not make them your enemy. It simply means two people see things differently than one another. We were raised in different homes, went to different schools, had different friends, seen different information, heck we don't even live in the same country. Yet you get insulted because I disagree with you and try to debate a topic with you in a reasonable manner? I don't get that. I'm not a psychiatrist or don't know you well enough to even make an assumption to the reason why you feel that way, but all I can say is that ideas are meant to be challenged. Taking insult to someone challenging your ideas is no way to grow or advance in life.
Look, I don't know why you have taken on this personal mission to destroy my credibility here by attacking my character, my career, and my comments, but after you get done searching for those comments that you think I made I would hope that if you want to talk to me about this some more you would PM me and not make this some ugly public debate. It's between me and you. And I'm sure that after a few conversations with me you will know where I stand. I am more than happy to explain myself to you so that we can have respectful debates in the future without the mudslinging.
Alright. I tell you what. All you have to do is click on my name up there in the top left of this response and you can see every damn comment I've ever made on this forum. Then since you remember me making the crude comments you have accused me of, then go ahead and post them for everyone to see!!!

K here's some quotes:
"And in all reality, Christians have taken those values set into the construction of this nation and ripped them apart. I don't see the religious right too intent on protecting individual rights and self-determination at all. Unless it's their own. Maybe they think protecting other people's individual rights and self-determination aren't Christian values???"
"Religious people use the "Playing God" card all the time to squelch research..."
"Religion doesn't open itself up for debate or correction..."
"I love it each year when I get predictable notes from the parents of the kids I teach asking why the school their kids attending isn't using B.C. and A.D. I just crack up each time"
"So anyone who disagrees with you is a liberal? It's nice to see you have such a respect for people who don't think like you as to lump them all in one category." <---(This is one of my favourites, considering the way you lump all Christians together, among other groups)
"Uh oh. You just said you were something other than Judeo/Christian and your profile says you live in the United States. I would keep a vigilant watch now. I feel you are in certain danger. P.S. The Torii gate outside your front door should be taken down for a while until it's safe."
"They should have sent their daughter to a nice counselor for reperative therapy. And if she refused they could always go to Plan B and just shun her until she complies. Maybe she should have gone to Jesus Camp." (sarcasm of course)
"... but he isn't the magician or the antagonist that Christians claim Jesus or God is."
"Most of the major religions are based on fear and guilt. They play on basic human instinct the same way a marketing company would do."
"Don't you know though, if you don't believe those toothfairy stories they call you immoral? You can't be open minded and be a moral person. You've got to buy the whole bit. Hook, line, and sinker. Or you don't belong..." (referencing Christianity)
"...What bothers me about Christianity mostly is Christians, or people who refer to themselves as Christians..."
That's just the first 25 pages or so of your history. Honestly I dont' care to go hrough all the stuff you've said.
As a "Christian", I take offense at some of those quotes, said by you. If you want to attack my religion, that's fine, just don't react so much when someone else does the same thing to you.
*Edited to be less harsh*
You should know that I'm not trying to attack you. I'm simply pointing out that you feel your religion is being attacked, something you've made other people feel about their religion. I'm not trying to insult you, I'm simply saying that you need to realize that someoen else is just doing the same thing you do to others. You don't get any special treatment because you're not Christian. I don't get any special treatment because I'm Christian. That's equality.
I stand by the quotes I've put up there. Some have them have made me pissed off at you at some point in time, but I got over it.
Some people on this board will attack your religion, whether you're Christian or not. I'm just saying you need to watch yourself because you're jumping on someone else for something that you have done. I'm not saying that you should or shouldn't do it. I, as a point, don't believe in attacking other people's religions, but I'm not you. I just want to make sure you play fair before you get angry about it.
For the record, I identify myself as a Mormon (even though I haven't been to a real service in about 12 years, and I recieved only the first priesthood), and our views are far different from many of the other Christian denominations that you lump us in with. That's fine. However I would suggest maybe thinking twice before you ascribe something from say, Catholicism, to all of Christianity. Heck the Mormon religion has almost as much in common with Islam in some areas. Many of the things we do stamp out the stereotypes that many people have about Christianity, so it's hard to come here and be lumped in and called down for things that I do not do. I'm not trying to change the way you post on these boards (Free Will is one of the most important tenets of the Mormon faith), I'd just like you to temper your anger because I don't feel it's fair that you hold us at a different standard than your religion.

Thank you for taking the time to go through that...Reavo, in the first thread that I ever got into you with, it was a post in which you bashed the right wing based off of something that was quickly disproven...I called you a moron for posting it, and then you proceeded to ask for an apology for about 3 pages of discussion. We finaly made our peace some time later, and i think that I even apologized to you for calling you a moron. But ever since that thread, you have made a large number of posts regarding your obvious dislike for the Christian religion. I've almost never responded to any of the inane things that you have posted about my religion, except for the times when it has been a debate about evolution, because that happens to be of particular interest to me. But when you sit in this thread and dig yourself in, claiming that you've never posted anything attacking the Christian people, I'm going to call you on it, because it's pure bullshit. Do not claim that we are simply attacking your character, it's not a matter of character assasination, it's a matter of you being a hypocrite. Where the hell do you get off saying all of the things that you have said about our faith, and then getting yourself all up in a huff as soon as someone says something about yours? I thought that you were mature enough to take it, considering how much you like to dish it out.
Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.
Gays too are human and we too are human. If we respect ourselves then we must respect gays. They should have the independence that we are enjoying. It is very simple, literally they are not doing any harm to any society, they are also a part of the society. There should not be any discrimination on the basis of sex.
So, i think it is a welcome change in human society.
Do what u like most, that is the secret of happiness and longevity. Ur dad is not so important, its ur life that means most to u.

Maybe they think protecting other people's individual rights and self-determination aren't Christian values???"
"Religious people use the "Playing God" card all the time to squelch research..."
Here I'm speaking about some religious people taking offense to research. If you can't see that I didn't mean every religious person then I don't know what to say. BTW, I'm religious. I got a Unitarian Church. So if I were referring to every religious person I would be talking about myself.
"Religion doesn't open itself up for debate or correction...
It doesn't. It says that it is a truth. The only religion I've heard of that opens itself up for debate is Judaism. So, how am I wrong here. Religions call themselves the truth for their followers. Is the truth open up for debate?
"I love it each year when I get predictable notes from the parents of the kids I teach asking why the school their kids attending isn't using B.C. and A.D. I just crack up each time"
And I do get these notes, and I do crack up. So does every other teacher of history that I work with. It's predictable. It's like someone in tech support getting a call that they have a virus and use Internet Explorer and no anti-Virus protection. I mean, you crack up because you hear it over and over. BCE and CE are used because history is not a Christian invention. It's a study done by everyone and therefore BCE and CE are used as a common marker for all history studies. I was told to expect those letters when I was going through my education courses. And that's what I meant.
"So anyone who disagrees with you is a liberal? It's nice to see you have such a respect for people who don't think like you as to lump them all in one category." <---(This is one of my favourites, considering the way you lump all Christians together, among other groups)
I don't know what you mean by this one. :P
"Uh oh. You just said you were something other than Judeo/Christian and your profile says you live in the United States. I would keep a vigilant watch now. I feel you are in certain danger. P.S. The Torii gate outside your front door should be taken down for a while until it's safe."
That was said in a joking manner to someone who follows a Japanese old religion. Considering out past war with Japan and the latest "Judeo/Christian Nation" rants I said it tongue in cheek. I don't know how else you could have taken it. Especially when I said something about a Torii in front of her front door. Do you think she actually has one????
"They should have sent their daughter to a nice counselor for reperative therapy. And if she refused they could always go to Plan B and just shun her until she complies. Maybe she should have gone to Jesus Camp." (sarcasm of course)
And what do they teach kids in Jesus Camp? You tell me what they teach kids about homosexuality in Jesus Camp and then think about why I said something about the failed arguments posed by backers of reperative therapy. It doesn't work. It's been labeled as dangerous by the American Psychiatric Association.
"... but he isn't the magician or the antagonist that Christians claim Jesus or God is."
I don't even remember saying this. I don't know the context it was said in. So I can't comment here. Sorry.
"Most of the major religions are based on fear and guilt. They play on basic human instinct the same way a marketing company would do."
Again, they are. Do you disagree? Why else is there a hell in Christianity and Islam. Notice I said "most" not all. Judaism doesn't have a hell. Neither does my church. So, that's why I said "most".
"Don't you know though, if you don't believe those toothfairy stories they call you immoral? You can't be open minded and be a moral person. You've got to buy the whole bit. Hook, line, and sinker. Or you don't belong..." (referencing Christianity)
Again, I don't know the context of this one. Fill me on it and I'll comment.
"...What bothers me about Christianity mostly is Christians, or people who refer to themselves as Christians..."
Okay, so some Christians bother me. They bother me because they call themselves Christian in name but not in action. Are you going to tell me those Christians don't bother you? Or do you just let them slide because they call themselves a Christian?
That's just the first 25 pages or so of your history. Honestly I dont' care to go hrough all the stuff you've said.
As a "Christian", I take offense at some of those quotes, said by you. If you want to attack my religion, that's fine, just don't react so much when someone else does the same thing to you.
I am not or never have attacked your religion. My religion is based in Christianity. We believe Jesus was a great teacher. But we don't believe in the Trinity or the magic that the Bible claims. Would you call Jefferson a Christian basher? He made a Bible called Jefferson's Bible where he took out every single miracle Jesus is said to have performed. He said they were added to beef up the whole Jesus story and they actually made him mad because they took away from the real story of Jesus.
Actually I defended your religion just last week. I was talking to someone who was referring to a Mormon who might be running on the Presidential ticket in two years and he said he wouldn't vote for a Mormon because they don't hold true Christian values. I told the guy you don't vote for a President according to their religious values but for their leadership and American values. I used to have a roommate that was Mormon as well. For two years. I also had friends in the Navy that were Mormon.
I'm not sure you understand my religion or where I'm coming from. So the best thing I thought of to do was to copy and paste something from my church's website about who we are and where we're coming from. Read it and then think about the comments I made from the perspective of what this says. I think it will clear things up. All I can tell you is that in my heart and in my practice I do not discriminate against anyone from any religion. I also do not think one is better than another or right or wrong. I believe we are all on separate paths searching for separate answers. And I also wonder how many of my comments you came across that you had to overlook because they didn't fit into the box you were trying to put me in. I have backed plenty of people and their spiritual searches on this site. I know I have. And that's where I'm coming from. If someone were to ever get on your case for being Mormon, trust me with all certainty you have i will be there to back you up. That's the most I have to offer you on this. Sorry for the misunderstandings. And I am a forgiving person. It's all forgotten, I promise. But please just read this below and put yourself in my perspective after you read it. I really think it will clear things up.
"With its historical roots in the Jewish and Christian traditions, Unitarian Universalism is a liberal religion -- that is, a religion that keeps an open mind to the religious questions people have struggled with in all times and places. We believe that personal experience, conscience and reason should be the final authorities in religion, and that in the end religious authority lies not in a book or person or institution, but in ourselves. We are a "non-creedal" religion: we do not ask anyone to subscribe to a creed."
Have at it.

I've never gotten myself in a huff in a conversation with you. Because I've respected you the whole time I've been on these boards. Through all our conversations about creationism, science, religion, etc. I've always respected your opinion. I think what has happened is that somewhere in the text it's gotten mistranslated or misread or something that someone disagreeing with you is dissing you. I haven't ever dissed you Draenor. As a matter of fact I remember on a lot of those "who's the coolest?" posts that have been up I put you in my top 3. Because I enjoy discussing things with you. I don't know why feel differently about me or how you got the impression that I was attacking your religion, but all I can say is that if that's the impression I gave you I'm sorry. Like I said, I have always respected your posts as intelligent, well thought out, and thought provoking. I'm not the creep you think I am. I hope that's enough to reconcile this.
here, I offer you this.
That's an olive branch btw. They're good for your heart.
You can comment on your own quotes all you like. I was simply proving my point (which you challenged me to do) in that you've said numerous things of which I and other people have felt that you were either attacking, insulting, or generally bashing our religions (under the banner of Christianity as a blanket term which you've used). As a cause of that, you belittle us because of our faiths.
The fact remains that atleast 2 people have told you that we feel you've consitantly attacked our religion. If you want to go ahead and keep doing that, that's your call. Why we are making a big deal out of it now is because someone else attacked your religion and you say "Hey that's no fair!". We (or I atleast, I don't want to put words in anyone elses mouth) call bullshit on that because you've made us feel the same way that you felt when you read that post. It's nice that you offer to back me up if someone gets on me for being Mormon, but how is it that you're going to back me up when you're getting on me for being Christian?
I didn't intend to get this into a big long drawn out thing. I just wanted you to know that you're simply experiencing what you put others through, and it's unfair of you to cry foul on that.
On a side note, I'm glad you get a lot of inspiration from Thomas Jefferson. I'm sure he was a great hero for your country and monumental in helping mold the original ideals of the nation. However, I thought I should point out that Jefferson really have very little if any meaning to a proud Canadian. His ideas, in my context, might not have the same weight that you ascribe to them.

Now this is good news because I suspect that it means gay marriage in the United States is about to come to a long overdue end (at least until the judicial activist libs on the Supreme Court get a chance to force it on America): This whole incident shows you how comfortable liberals are with subverting democracy when it conflicts with their ideological goals. Initially, the liberals on the Massachusetts Supreme Court invented a "right to gay marriage" out of whole cloth and declared it to be Constitutional law. So, the only way it could be changed was a Constitutional Amendment. Then, after the necessary signatures were collected to get a vote on a Constitutional Amendment, most of the Democratic legislators, including the incoming Governor, didn't want to allow the question to be decided by the people. In other words, the Democrats bent over backwards to try and make sure that the people weren't allowed to have any say at all about an issue as important as gay marriage. But now, the people are going to get to vote and even in Massachusetts, one of the most liberal states in America, it looks likely that gay marriage will be voted down. THANK GOD
Just wanted to drop back into this thread, that should have died days ago, to comment on something.
Outofctrl, when I commented on your old avatar, about how it made you look, I wasn't doing it just to make fun of you, I was making a very serious point.
See how uncomfortable it made you feel? When people made fun of you when agreeing with me, and how it obviously hurt you enough that you felt you had to change your avatar to something different?
One little comment that made you make a rather drastic change as changing an avatar you've used for ages.
Remember and consider that feeling of insecurity, isolation and embarrassment whenever you're bashing on the rights of others.
What you felt for that small period of time, the people you're dropping into one big stereotype have been feeling and fighting against their entire gay lives.
I cannot burn you at the stake for having your opinions, but personally I think you only have the right to try to bring into effect the changes you want in your neighbourhood and town/city. I personally do not think it justified to call for the outright ban of gay marriage (worldwide if you could I suspect) when all that affects you is what happens in your town.
Which may be what you're doing? Hasn't been confirmed either way.
Each to their own of course, as has been demonstrated by this thread. Just as has been demonstrated how divisive and unsolveable (?) these sorts of debates are. Thus why I personally believe it should be kept small and to the area that affects you and yours (the debate that is).
And for the record, you look dashingly handsome and straight as a tack in your new avatar (seriously, nice photo that one).
Peace brothah.

Cool. That's good. Just remember that I respect you when you read stuff I write. I think sometimes when people read text like in forums and emails things don't come across like the writer intended. It's happened to me before and I've seen it happen to other people. Maybe it's happened to you before, I dunno. But furr shurr, just picture me saying what I say to you in a calm voice and I'm smiling. Sometimes when I challenge you I may think about something you say for a few days and begin to change my mind. That's what I want to do. I'm not that bullheaded. I promise. I've been teaching long enough to learn that MOST of the time it takes a while for a lesson to sink in. And for me sometimes it takes even longer. Believe it or not I have brought up some of the stuff you have said at church and we have debated it there. My church welcomes that kind of debate. The stuff we talk about on these forums is a lot of the conversations we have at church. There is hardly any non-disagreement amongst my churches members.

Well, I know where I'm coming from and it's not from a place you think/thought I was coming from. Like I told Draenor, sometimes things come across the wrong way in writing. Like in emails and forums. The reader can't see my face or hear my inflections. That's why a lot of times sarcasm gets lost in text. All I can say is that I am not against Christianity. I am very angry at SOME Christians or so called Christians though. As well as are some other Christians. There's a lot of folks who call themselves a Christian but find it very hard to practice what they preach. And it's hurting a lot of people in the process. The fact remains that atleast 2 people have told you that we feel you've consitantly attacked our religion. If you want to go ahead and keep doing that, that's your call. I'm not getting onto you. I'm questioning your beliefs. It's not the same thing. Who knows, I may question something then you explain it and I see your side. Has that never happened to you before? I didn't intend to get this into a big long drawn out thing. I just wanted you to know that you're simply experiencing what you put others through, and it's unfair of you to cry foul on that. Jefferson is my idol. Of all the historical figures I've read about he is numero uno. Right up there with Kant, Locke, and Adam Smith. The more I read about him the more I get goosebumps thinking of how freakin' smart he was. I want a brain like that. But the best I can hope for is to just emulate his ideas the best I can.
Anyways, just read what I wrote Draenor. Same goes for you. Later man.
If we're talking "state" legal marriage, then it's just some kind of legal contract, and I see no reason not to allow 2 consenting adults to make such a contract. Perhaps state marriages should have a different term for them from Church marriages as they are not necessarily the same thing. Churches of course have the right to marry or not marry whoever they please. I don't think the goverment have any place dictating morality.
Like I said before. Don't like it. Leave. Have fun being shot/raped/wtfever in hobulabula land wherethehellever. Few things you don't agree on so suddenly America becomes your enemy. /golfclap. Nice one there "citizens" lol
In my opinion I don't care if homos get married or not. Just keep your gay crap outa my face or i'll hit you like the man you appear to be. So if your gay don't show boat it around. Just be damn gay and leave it at that.
But law says you can get married. WHOOPYDO. No tax cut for you OMFG big loss there huh? Marriage is nothing but a public notification of your relationship. You don't need stinking marriage to love one another. I've been engaged for like 2 years now and we are happy and could careless about marriage. Personally we are only getting married for the tax cut and insurance reasons. Other then that we are perfectly happy with each other and that's all we need. Give your gay partner a ring. Have a fake wedding and leave it at that. You homos bitching about not being able to get married just shows me NONE of you really love each other. You just like it in the pooper. Now go prove me wrong kkthx.

wow, somebodies gotta say it, i might as well be the one to say it. those are mighty big words coming from a guy on a computer in a forum. you write like youre 14. are you? 14 i mean. cause thats all i read when i read your posts. of course youre entitled to your opinion, but every post that ive read from you has been just like this one. insulting and childish. if you really are 14 or younger, then disregard this post as your posting will make perfect sense. however, if youre older than 14, then please take this constructive critizism for all its worth, grow up and learn respect for others. learn how to form paragraphs properly. and above all, realize you dont have to make yourself look bigger than you really are in a forum. cause you just make yourself look stupid when you do that. youre not gaining anyones respect with this post, youre losing it. badly. alot.

Exactly how I feel. Gay marriage has been legal here (Finland) for years now and it hasn´t bothered me. I just don´t see why anyone should feel the need to control what two adult´s do in this regard. In the end it´s just a piece of paper that gives you some benefits when it comes to taxation, inheritance, etc . At least that´s how it´s here.
Democracy has some big problems, the first being that the masses arent always right, minorities cant win a equality status on their own... and last but not least think about the stupidity of the average person.... now, think that 50% are dumber.... and that's the people who will vote if somebody else deserves or doesnt deserves a right, those are the people meant to vote, to choose if other people will be able to marry and have the same protection as a family as the others... or if they stay second class citizens... who will have their wills legaly dismissed upon death by families that throw them out when they got out of the closet, or to have their children taken from them....
If you think that's right, you are small, pathetic and malicious....

Thanks for dissing my church and my religion.FYI, my grandparents, parents, myself, and most of my family are all members of the Unitarian Church.
I have advised them to look deeper into their spirituality and reconsider their choice.I don't know where you got the idea that I have ever put down someone else's religion.

Heh, I await the bullshit excuse with giddy anticipation. reavo, I don't care if you want to bash on Christianity and devote thread to attempts of yours to find inconsistancies in our beliefs, but if you're going to do that, don't get all up in a huff when someone does it right back at you.He wasn't pointing out an inconsistency in my belief.

"Because it's easier to nitpick something than to be constructive." -roach5000
Have at it.
-------------------------------------

Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.

Oh. My. God.
Later man.
There is enough sexual deviation, it is the sole reason men is falling to sin.
If we just eradicate homosexuality, the root of evil, we will have made the largest progress towards a perfect society in the history of mankind.
This is true objective justice.
