I happened to notice as Vanguard starts to move down from top game how there are some suspect accounts. I know we've heard it all before but I had to voice it. An account named RPG_Ash gives the comment "Utter rubbish" as his comment on the Vanguard vote meter so I had to look into it. The guys account was started today February 9th, he has exactly 10 posts which all consist of between 2 and 10 words. In case you didnt know you have to make 10 posts so that you can vote in the ratings. I don't mind people voting badly for Vanguard because they don't like it. Hey, not every game is everyones cup of tea, but to make alternate accounts to falsely bring down Vanguards score now that is just so insane. RPG_Ash, whoever you are, you are a sad little monkey, and so is anyone else who would make alternate accounts just to vote either negatively or positively to change a games rating. Truly pathetic!
Hmmm, i just look at it as balance to all the people who made accounts to give Vanguard high scores, personally i'd give it 6.5 to 7.0 at the moment , it will improve (I hope) but I'm really fed up with incomplete launches.
If a game is incomplete the ongoing subscriptions should be discounted until the developers are happy with the quality/performance of a game to show that they recognize that their subscribers are not getting the desired or adverised experience.
i noticed suspect accounts months ago, then i figured out what they actually are, they are gold sellers and lvl'ing company's, most have names like hgfgh age 26 thats all thats in there profile, and now i am seeing adds for there services pop up in the more popular mmo forumns here, they usually post tight in the middle of the threads of a post like ie...I have very little time to play and these people helped me out (place sticky here of the website) you click on the sticky and it takes you too a stupid virtual gold site.

On a serious note, I can understand being upset over false reviews, but the reviews only have weight if you give them weight. I doubt it's worth playing the crusader over this issue, as all it does is further ruin your credibiltiy to fight over ratings of a game on a single website. Or....at the very least....you know....you could've just been honest and presented accurate information and less fabrications of the truth.
It is pathetic, however I think there are probably more "10s" than "1s" in this case. The game is good, but with the problems it has, it really did not belong on the top of the list. The lag/performance category alone should have lost it top rank.

I spent all week around Veskal's exchange and have grouped with several Elves. I'll have to ask them if they are experiencing the same problem. None of the areas I visited or quests I've done have had the issues you mention. And I've done quests and hunted from Dahknarg to Veskal's exchange (which happens to be very close to Leth Nurae, in case any reader's didn't know).

I really like this game but I think either making accounts to vote 10's or all 1's is equally pathetic. As far as who is doing it more, logically speaking it would have to be the people with the 1's IMO. Think about it, lets say the group of vanguard fans are voting 10's. Well you know the groups of vanguard haters are voting 1's (EQ2, WoW, Eve, etc etc) Right there that's 3 groups vs 1 and that's just off the top of my head.

You're right, and I guess I was wrong, and that's the only person I even bothered to look up. With a 2 word dissing of the game I just had to see and of course he had 10 posts on the button.
Anyway you are right, the ratings are very subjective and totally skewed, but I really think people who would make up more than one account just to rate the game higher or lower are pretty sad.

I think there are FAR more false accounts created to give Vanguard a 10, than a 1. After all, we are talking about a vocal minority who is dual boxing in the MMOs, so creating multiples accounts is something they do, everyday.

I have created 15 characters well over a year ago, using my great powers of foresight to plan THE GREATEST CONSPIRACY against THE GREATEST GAME EVER. They were named random1 through random15 (quite the genius plan really, noone could ever link these names together... EVER!). After having boiled the strategy with the threatened leaders of the evil WoW empire, I decided to get to work, writing posts on the fate deciding battleground, MMORPG.COM. After having achieved the near impossible task of 100+ posts on each of the uber-secret, undetectable aliases, time has come to put my malefic plan in motion, and thus rated VG 15 times one, on this heroic battleground!!!
But some anarchist came and blew the whole conspiracy out of the water! If only I had his intelligence... But never mind that, the damage has been dealt, a life purpose fulfilled!
Brewing the conspiracy was not an easy task, worked on it for 2 years, in the meanwhile losing 5 jobs and 2 wives (not even counting the children)... but in the end I, and the 8 million strong, threatened 12 year old wow playerbase was successful, I have achieved my life goal!!!
