Are you joking? This isn't wow. Getting somewhere is LVL 20 in this game. In our Guild, out of over 30 members, only 2 toons are LVL 20 & 21, and we're all Beta Players. Those higher then 25 are GRINDING Missives & Group Grinding Elite Mobs. Those playing the game are LVL's 16-25 Adv, 6-20 Crafting and 50-120 Dip.
And there it is !!! Best way to build your game up if you play Vanguard, knock another game.
Cmon MX, your like 10 times smarter than this. I'm not saying I dissagree with you here, lvl 20 is a pretty good level to get to in Vanguard, but by no means is it a stratospherically different or harder than WoW as you guys make it out to be.
I'm not knocking Wow in the least. WoW is a Power-Gamer's Heaven, and I'm sure I could get dozen's of Folks to agree with me. VG is simply a much slower game to progress in.
I was told within the first 2 weeks WoW was Launched, there were a TON of LVL 60's. If you look at VG, the only one close is a Necro (getting thier Pets fixed soon BTW) and the nearest of other Professions are in thier low 40's.
My point was that this game is designed for SLOW, continual advancement. I have Guildies who LOVE WoW, and they have said clearly that if this was WoW they could be at or near 60 by now, and they are all in their Teen LVLs. My comment is based on the COMPLETELY different design model, and progression timetable.
My bad than MX, I obviously took your comments intention the wrong way.
Sorries.
/hugs.
I don't really agree with you mind you but I'm really starting to think that the "leveling speed" of Vanguard is more a matter of perception then actual reality, never mind even getting into whether it's a good or bad thing.

Do you believe everything you are told?
I was told Vanguards death penalty was when you summoned your corpse to an alter a group of Vanguard GMs drive to your house and beat you with baseball bats, to help encourage corpse runs. Someone told me that it's true, so it must be, right? I once got sued for naming my pet Michael Jackson and making it jump off the cliff at Jalens Crossing
I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time.

I believe my friends over Trolling Posters like you. They were there.
it isnt even about how fast the top 5% get to top lvl...those guys will chew through any content like candy...it is way more about how long it takes a random shlub to get there...the middle class, if you will...the idea in WoW is any shortbus mofo can get to 60 in a short amount of time...this is already looking unlikley in VG
The majority of Vanguard players prefer a harder more challenging game. Gimmicks like double xp weekends is a contradiction to what these core players are looking for. It seems counterproductive and cheapens the experience of the game.
They should have just extended the free play period for another 2 weeks if this was supposed to make up for a buggy release.
