reading through reklaws post history you quickly notice that pretty much ALL his posts are flames and trolls. No point, no interest in discussing, just a long line of abuse and junk thrown at people for the sole reason to insult as many as possible. In other words, a normal Vanguard fan, and the real problem behind the game.. Not Brad.. People like Reklaw.

No no no no no, incorrect!
Problem with VG: incompetent team, AND Brad liking these kind of trolls, who kiss his buttocks.

I think it is very funny how people on these forums think in "Binary" ways: fanboi vs. hater
If we really hold onto this way of thinking and review the general posts here on mmorpg, there isnt much of a difference, both sides have trolls, people showing immature behaviour, posting assumptions or lies which they state as facts or just want to antagonise to use the forums as a ventile for frustration.
My impression is that he not only still does not have a clue but would not recognize one if he was pissing on it. As soon as I read the "if I had 3 more months before releasing" part, my first thought was well you are still in denial. They have had the three months and the game is still a bugfest.

I just gave a standing ovation to that forum poster you linked. Yes, I do believe he speaks for many of us. Vanguard will fail if the developers don't take the initiative correct the specific bugs that plague the game. No matter how much hopeful support we give them, the clock is still ticking and apparently the game is pretty much as buggy as it was on opening day. What a shame...

I'd LOVE to know what kind of system you have that doesn't crash vanguard at all for two weeks. That's a little absurd. I don't know anyone, that I have ever played with, in my guild, random groups, etc. who hasn't experienced at least SOME crashing. Unless of course you're relogging every 30 minutes.
I've never fallen through the world either, but I have had my tombstone fall through the world, and I've experienced every other thing that poster said, most of it several times, and a lot of it daily. I've been loving Vanguard, honestly, until I logged onto another game (LOTRO in this case) and all of a sudden, I didn't have any of the annoying bugs that I'd just come to accept as part of playing VG. I then thought about all the games I'd played in the past - pretty much EVERYTHING on mmorpg.com's game list I have tried at some point and I was thinking about all the little bugs and annoyances you put up with, I even made a partial list XD. And I shocked myself at what we, as players of VG, are willing to tolerate.
Gaming? That's not gaming! That's just people sat 'round in costumes drinking...

No problem at all, my system is mediocre, nothing special:
I had a thought occur to me today, is the "brad apology" thing going to be a regular game feature ?
I mean every month, just before the majority of people have to make the choice of paying again or not,for another month, will they be supplied with a monthy "im sooooo sorry things havent worked out yet" apology feature from poor ,poor brads game?
Perhaps they could drop the monthy fee to play Vanguard , and instead charge you for his apology ?So that every month, you'll get to play the game for free, but have to pay for his monthy state of the game apology ?
For all those who say that FOH is not an official VG site and so the apology is not official enough, you have a point. And yet, out of all the VG affiliate sites, Brad chose FOH forums even from beta as His tribune. He has been often criticized for this choice, but has not changed his stance reasons known to himself. I don't think he was addressing the FOH folks exclusively. In fact, I would be suprised if He had picked another place and imho it would have appeared less public if he had done so.
That's one thing I never really understood. I know he has a long-time connection or relationship with them, but if he is going to champion himself as the leader and spokesperson for this game I would think he would choose a broader and more effective way of communicatiing.
His marketing and project management skills seem to be up in the air and I think these apologies given in the long-winded manner to non-affiliated sites don't seem to really rally the community. Hopefully, he does have success in pulling things together, if nothing else then to give something back to you guys that have supported the game so far.
His preference to FOH has always baffled me given his position and the responsibilities that come with being a CEO / running your own company, in conjuction with the heavy personal marketing he tries to do.

I'm not that surprised; Brad views FOH as the Vanguard's core player base. SOE/LA made the same distinction with those that played Jedi in SWG.
Ico Oh, cruel fate, to be thusly boned. Ask not for whom the bone bones. It bones for thee.
Just the fact that this guy posted on the FOH guildboard, pandering ONCE AGAIN, to that little whiney retard Furor and his cheating pals, is proof enough for me where this game is going. scew this guy, SOE and anything associated with Fires of Heaven.
FOH/Furor ruined everquest. screw them right in the pooper.
That'd be the super coolest first post ever, if not for the fact that Furor left FoH 2-3 years ago when he started working as a dev for Blizzard. You know, on that little game they made called World of Warcraft? You may have heard of it.
Not sure how FoH ruined Everquest, either, but whatever floats your boat.
And now the 'Furor' is ruining WoW with his hybrid-class nerfs. God I hate that individual.

Yea Furor's a moron and WoW is going to crap since BC. They even stoped bringing out new servers.
It's horrible when a game stops putting out new servers 2 years after it released. If that means WoW is dying, then Vanguard must be lying down in it's grave already considering they are talking server merges after only 2 months of release.
Yea Furor's a moron and WoW is going to crap since BC. They even stoped bringing out new servers.
I love it when your type runs around screaming "if you don't play VG then stop posting about it ... blah, blah, blah!", and then go on and post rubbish, about a game they think is worse than VG, but in fact it is just one of VG's inspirations.
Most people like TBC, and are happy, because it made a lot of things accessible to those players who are not raiders.

TBH I really do not think Shazzel is one of the type that really are that hard on defending Vanguard...
One thing makes me wonder though, why you want to belittle him when he states he dislikes TBC.

One thing makes me wonder though, why you want to belittle him when he states he dislikes TBC. I can see where you are headed with this, but it is not cunning enough. But just to please you : cause I am a n00b, and the only MMO I ever played was WoW, and it's the greatest, and the best ... etc etc, bla bla bla. Of course that is not the case, as I grew bored fast of WoW.
What I quoted didn't say he disliked wow, it was a statement about TBC ruining WoW. And that is what I commented. I do not care if he likes WoW or not, the only thing I commented was his (faulty) statement about TBC ruining something about WoW. The difference is huge, don't know how you missed it.

Same here, I cant understand how you could miss my point that was rather obvious.
You belittlel him by one painting a picture of him (that that may not be true).
So if I rephrase my question. But at this part it is purely retorical.
You do that because he said he disliked what TBC did to WoW and are that any better then what you claimed him, his type, to do?

Athlon +3500, GForce 7800 GTX 512 MB Ram, Raptor S-ATA hard-drive, on board sound ()

Not weird at all. Not everyone will experience the same problems running the same software.
It's called luck.
Signing up and playing the game is like a game of craps. (Roll a 7 or an 11 and you automatically
