I just don't have the time to play MMO's, almost MMO'd out I'd say. I'll probably pick VG back up in a few months when RL settles down. I really don't mean to come off so malicious, I just get tired of reading the same posts from the same folks. It's tough to get a good grasp on how the game is progressing with so many naysayers gangbanging every thread.
I can live with getting a max of 30fps and having to tweak down the settings for my older computer. It when things drop to single digit fps and the game goes into freeze frame mode when grouped or anywhere near crafting areas. If they could fix those 2 issues NOW. Id be more than willing to live with the rest of VG's faults until they can fix them over the next few months/years.

One massive rant should be enough IMO. Like I said, to share their discontent, even if it's to share it over and over. It might be therapeutic to some, it might be entertaining to others, but it's about them and that's what's important. I'd save that paranoia of yours until someone specifically says "Vanguard sucks, because I don't want matraque to play it." 'til then, it'd probably be safe to assume they dislike the game and post about it for reasons other than that.

Well to all the haters, you win. I am probably going to be canceling my sub at least for now. It has nothing to do with the fact I don't like the game though. It has to do with the fact that their min. and rec. specs are BS and I don't see it getting better anytime soon. I have an X2 3800, 2gbs of DDR2 800mhz and an 8800 GTS and while I get 50-60 fps in the wild (of course I still lag at chunks or just random times), if I get into a group it drops to the low 20's or lower. I don't mind this but considering that none of my RL friends can play the game because they don't have a setup like mine, I am pretty much playing alone 90% of the time. The population is incredibly low (this might be due to the huge size of the world) and since I play mmo's to play with other people, VG isn't cutting it atm. Hopefully in a few months, Sigil will have gotten their shit together and either fix their game engine so regular people can play or refunded everyone their money. Till then I guess I'm done with mmo's as nothing else out is any good imho.
This game is heavy on everything... why you're going slow with that rig is because of your hard drive. It seems this game hit's the hard drive real hard. Also i agree with the fact that why make a game that only few people can play, it just doesn't make sense money wise. I wish people would have learned from EQ2 but nooooo

What does this FPS shit really have to do with the posts I made in his thread? Unless th 8800 is a tri core gpu, wich I then didn't know.
Other then that I color coded some of the text, I cut it down last to make the LOTR connection obvious, but you missed it.
Well let's face it, Brad and his yahoos can't code worth a darn. What happens when you have a rookie designer with a rookie team.
They do not understand that having a great graphic design is worthless when most computers can't run it.
The game has a lot of potential and Sony is still sticking with SWG with it's low numbers so my guess is Brad has a chance to get it right. Let's hope we can come back in 6 months to a better performing game. But if performance is not priority one, then you can consign this game to the MMO scrap heap.

That is just sad, you betaplayed it for around 3 months ago. Yet you tell about you dislikes one game, praising another one not accepting that someone may not like it.
But I guess some didn't buy Vanguard to play a 3rd gen MMO. Some bougth it to play another, or a new, MMO.
That can be a big difference. It would be like someone playing LOTR beacuase the grass is greener (wich it literally are), not because they find the game fun, like the feeling, story etc ?

Other then that I color coded some of the text, I cut it down last to make the LOTR connection obvious, but you missed it.

Well let's face it, Brad and his yahoos can't code worth a darn. What happens when you have a rookie designer with a rookie team.
They do not understand that having a great graphic design is worthless when most computers can't run it.
The game has a lot of potential and Sony is still sticking with SWG with it's low numbers so my guess is Brad has a chance to get it right. Let's hope we can come back in 6 months to a better performing game. But if performance is not priority one, then you can consign this game to the MMO scrap heap.
aye...I wished my problems with this game is just technical related.
However....its more of an "imersion, fun thing for me"
