I know age of conan isnt auto attack, did you misunderstand me or is aion gonna have something to make combat slightly interesting?
And to the guy above, skill chains, party combos, and whatever else are trash in my book; your still not doing anything except tapping 1-10 are you.. If a 6 year old can do it I dont mark it as any way revolutionary. As for the AI I dont take some extra enemies attacking the winner to be great AI, I take it as something to be abused and later complained about because they made you lose and thus removed.
You don't like MMO's, we get it, please go back to first person shooters and STAY there. MMORPG's are not frag shooters like Halo or Unreal Tournament, get over it already.
Until Aion releases new information, I see AoC as a better game. Other than a pretty skin, there's not enough change to make Aion much different than MMOs released the past few years.
AOC is so refreshing with its very fast combat. Going back to WOW or even slower combat in WAR is tough. I don't know really anything about Aion other than it's pretty graphics.
I'll play everything out there whatever I like the most I'll stick with.
I will take TCOS above all of these in an instant. AOC has a new combat system yeah right....its still lock on target and nothing different from the norm except a few added features but all in all its still the same auto click dice roll mmorpg combat system.
WAR offers the normal system but RVR/PVP is the name of the game..which is great but its nothing new. Anyone who says WAR is not similar to WOW is in denial..ok its not a bad thing but its fact.
TCOS has the most original and new combat system of any mmorpg to date...no lock on targeting..no stats on armor and a dark gritty European medieval world.
<------- Also likes Aion than AoC..... Is not that AoC is bad... but it gives me a feeling that is going to be Tabula Rasa again... they talk a lot about their features and innovation and in the end the impact wasnt at the height of the hype...
AOC will crush Aion. Aion looks really asian and gay and AOC has nipples and blood and gore... which would you choose? LOL
Aion would hardly become a better game with gore and nipples, so no thanks...
With that being said, AoC definitely have many good points, like sieges and the player cities, and the graphics are nothing short of amazing for MMO-standards. However, I'm more attracted to Aions artistic style though, and the Abyss-concept definitely has potential. May they both grow old together.

Umm, AoC is going to get the NA and EU numbers hands down.
The M rated content, combat mechanics or the lore itself may not appeal to everyone but everything about my MMO experiences says that AoC will be the overall victor. Though, I am glad that those who have no interest in AoC will have fresh options available.
AoC gets my vote

* I do not need to know how to make a better game than you. I just need to know how to cancel my subscription. -Antarious(a slight misquote but the sentiment remains)
I'm sure both will be the great games, but I prefer AoC. It will have more content, more unique features and more rich lore. Aion is mostly for those who love Lineage 2 and other asian games. Graphics in both games look fantastic

I know you don't represent anyone in this forum, but that comment is rather childrish and, sincerely, stupid.
Way to generalize as "asian and gay" those thousands of us, straight and Euro or gay and American, who are eagerly awaiting for Aion, but not only that, using gay as a despective term just so you can boost your inexistant argument. You're not doing a favor to AoC with that comment I'm afraid.
About the last comment which talks about content quantity, I wouldn't count on that. Aion is aimed towards a casual audience, so they must have pet and pevees just like any casual game, websites like "thisisgame", "gamemeca" and "gamechosun", aka, the most famous korean mmo sites, point at Aion as a casual game, while, for example, they point at L2 like a uber-hardcore one, so I'd doubt their reality is different to ours.
AOC hands down. Aion looks like another hyped up Asian MMO. Everyone will hype it up like they did with 2Moons. "Oh Man 2Moons is AWEWSOME! It will be the next MMO that dominates the WORLLLLLD!" Every asian MMO looks like the same artist does the drawings. Wouldn't put it past me they utilize item malls or some junk. So I will wait for AOC. I will never touch another asian tital again.

Just want to point out that 2moons was a f2p grind-game, while Aion is on subscriptions and more focused on questing and PvPvE. That alone is quite the difference. They're also aimed at different markets, since 2moons is basically a direct port of the korean game Dekaron, which wasn't developed with the western market in mind at all. Let's not compare two games with such distant mindsets.

What I have seen so far in Aion it looks like all the rest of the F2P asian ten-in-dozen games. Naturally I have only seen like 10 Aion videos, so who am I to judge?
10 seconds should have been enough to realize the animations are well worth the 200M$ this game has as budget.
So far, I have the impression that AION is going to one that wins in terms of Quality, gameplay and fun
call it a hunch... AION doesn't build silly expectation, it simply waits to be discovered while WAR and AOC is all about hype and such and ooooh big shiny graphics...

Agreed. There hasn't been an original, creative, hell, just slightly DIFFERENT MMORPG to come out of Korea since...well, since....NEVER! They're all exact copies of one another, with different titles on the boxes.

Why must it be an a vs b situation? The more games that come out that are GOOD/GREAT/BLAHBLAH and FUN the better it will be for all of us as gamers.
Trying to be as objective as possible, this pisses me off.
Edit: If you want to spend money on a game, just spend it on whichever one comes out first. AoC is right around the corner, n'est-ce pas?
why do you want the game you select so badly? what cause you such attraction to this game? (aion or aoc)
AOC will crush Aion. Aion looks really asian and gay and AOC has nipples and blood and gore... which would you choose? LOL
Ex SWG Precu player
Ex Guildwars player
Ex WoW player
Ex VG player
Waiting for AOC
which ever one has players that arent so freaking hung up on nipples, gees go buy a national geographic already.

Will be either WAR or Spellborn for me, or both!
Aion is not looking like my kind of game at the minute

I will judge for myself which one will be better. So far it looks like AOC.
Aren't you the one with an AoC avatar? el oh el.
