LOTRO, for example, he took a statement made by Turbine that it was the "second largest MMO produced in North America" and said "HEY!...1.2 MILLION SUBS!"
Someone else already tried to correct you on this, but the number I have for LotRO is 200K, which is a conservative estimate.

in August 2007 Turbine claimed LotRO was the second largest MMORPG developed in North America. This leaves out games like RuneScape, Dofus, and EVE Online; essentially, Turbine was indicating that the game had more current subscribers than EQ or EQ II, but less than World of Warcraft.  Now, the say this was based on "reported data"... i.e. my data... and I know that means they were pegging EQ 1 & 2 at around 200K subscribers.  I also know what the box sales from NPD are, Turbine isn't over 500K subscribers yet, etc.  So 200K is an estimate, but one based on real data, not a guess, and it's appropriately graded in my analysis as data that's questionable.

If Turbine feels like I'm underreporting their numbers and this is a problem for them, all they have to do is send me the more precise information and I'll happily correct it.

Nevermind, I was looking at the wrong yellow line.

Shadowbane numbers are incorrect.  All accounts are active now, so that would put it at about +300,000 active accounts.  If that doesnt count, there are at least 20k active players, mainly on the pac rim side of the world.

The definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.

Shadowbane is now free to play, so there are 0 subscribers.

    You mean Runescape I think.

Both of them work in the context given. The correction is unnecessary (Lol I sound like a lawyer or something).

I don't see anything new with this. All of the games are following their same patterns.

The notion that graphics, or anything else for that matter, are anywhere near as important as gameplay/fun is so utterly ridiculous that anyone who shares such a view should be placed in an asylum.
