Well?
Just to make it clear. The reason why I posted this poll today instead of a week or two down the road, I wanted to give everyone a chance to vote regardless if they played beta on day 1 or the last day of beta. Some people won't be able to play one or two days of beta. Everyone's vote counts regardless.
UPDATE: Official poll along the same lines on May 6 from Funcom
Ok
Looks like a survey went up about several of the issues...maybe you can help out here
Password is openbeta
Please be sure to vote there as well! Thank you!

I'm the first to admit the game still has flaws. But I love it nonetheless. I'm confident it'll be the place where me and my better half can settle for a long while.
Until that is proven otherwise, I'll remain by that stance. We'll see that come release and the first weeks after.

Wow it's the first night and people are already judging it? 50,000 people on 3 servers.. yeah that shouldn't cause any stress, lag, or malfunctions.
beta doesnt tell you enough to make a decision about *loving* the game
I'm not cancelling my preorder
I dont think AOC sucks but I'm not inspired by it either
- but hey, its something new

Not after half a day, with everyone trying to get on at the same time.
My pre-order retail version WILL NOT contain the debugger thats running on the beta client eating up resources.
As of right now i'll wait still before ordering....will try again tomorrow
I hate to disagree. Open betas are there to sell the game. Sure, it is to stress test, but open betas in any game are to give the player base a look at the game to let them see if they want to buy or not. If you think otherwise, you are sadly mistaken. I've been around the MMOG community for 15 years and know what open betas are used for it. It is called marketing. If it wasn't, they would not have lifted the NDA for the open beta.

How could anyone tell from the first 13 lvls which is little more than an intro. If people are ready to give up on the game after seeing just the first 13 lvls I'd be pretty surprised. All they are testing here is server stress they really aren't showing you much.
Good to hear considering my buddy key rides on your pre-order! LOL

Would it not be fair then to create this poll at the end of the Fileplanet Beta? That way people can experience all of it before voting, this works for both those people who are having issues now who are upset and those that things are ok but could get really bad by the end.
You would get of a proper scope of things if it went up after the beta period.
Saying that though its been said closed beta players are playing on different servers to the OB players.

Good question. It goes back to my theory that you only get one chance to make a first impression. Some people may only play today. Some people may only play the last day of open beta. I want the poll up to get as many views as possible for the entire beta period. There fore, I disagree to put this up after the period as I will have missed a lot of my potential audience of who's opinion I'm seeking.

Own, Mine, Defend, Attack, 24/7
I'm not going to take sides on this debate, I will simply address one issue I found reading over this.
13 IS enough, because if a triple A MMO cannot steal my heart in 13 levels....it does not deserve to be pay to play. Its as simple as that. EQ, WoW, EQ2, UO.....ect...ect...ALL managed to hook their players early and hook them long. It is the pinnacle of bad design to have the first half of the game be dull and boring.
So, to clarify, if the 13 levels presented to you here are not good...there is NO reason to continue playing the game. It would be beyond obvious that the design of the game is trash if they cannot make even the early levels fun...as THAT is what EVERY player will go through.
No option to change mind on poll though
I have one word for you....Vanguard. MMO's are usually built from the bottom up and I don't want to get sucked into paying for an ongoing beta again.
I totally agree, it took me all of 30min (which was level 7 already and a quest NPC i saved telling me she would have sex with me already) to see this game wasn't for me. I am by no means saying AoC is bad or sucks etc., just saying it's not for "me". So, this poll is definately relevant, it's not asking if you cancelled because the game sucked, just asking for your opinion.
I cancelled more to do with class balance, but the bugs were a definite factor as well.
If you liked what you played in the fileplanet beta than you should buy it, it is definitely an ok game. But it does have its issues and thats why I decided to cancel until about 3 months then I will pick it up I think.
P.S. Stop whining about it being only 13 levels and you can't tell if you like it or not....the mmorpg.com interview with funcom had funcom stating they felt people would be able to tell how the game would be at lvl 13 thats why they capped it there. I laugh at ppl who use the lvl cap as an excuse for not grasping the game.
I was thinking about pre-ordering but I've decided against it. Even though the reward of the 'mount' is nice, it's not enough to warrant paying to play beta. I'll wait a month after release to make my final purchase decision as to whether Funcom squashes the memory leaks and other mission critical bugs.

I fully endorse this post!Seriously. If you find out this game is not for you, that's too bed, but it's not the end of the world and no one should force themselves to play a game they don't enjoy.
Personal opinion. And that is something that no amount of Hyping or Hating should change.

I've had fun with it. I've not pre-ordered nor probably plan on buying it anytime soon. I'm happy to contribute in beta. It will appeal to a niche group and probably generate a bit of a cult following.

Already did awhile ago now i ve just been reassured of why:(
Anyone who cancels is a complete retard.
1) This is a STRESS TEST. I repeat, STRESS TEST. It WILL run like crap and it WILL be buggy.
2) It is a BETA. Not a TRIAL or DEMO
3) It only levels you to 13. That to me is more of a extremely small preview. Anyone who thinks this beta is meant to sell copies obviously doesn't know or has played a lot of MMOs through their testing stages.

True enough servers were all light load.
I don't think I'm gonna pre-order .. but the graphics are nice, and I have good performance for having an old computer.. 6800GT, 2.4 GHz, 2 GB ram .. The settings are on high, I get around 20 FPS..
Pretty quick to decide to put a poll up for ppl to decide? Give it about a week or two n actually let ppl get a few days in worth playing. I myself will not cancell my pre order. So far I like what I see.
Wrong played many betas that ran great.
