Umm, its more of the same really. Thing is those who are whining are whining about a lack of action on Funcoms part. We have seen all of this before and its nothing more than the same promises being regurgitated with a few new promises thrown into the mix. My, you require so very little to appease yourself. I'd be first in line to commend them...if they had given even half of what they hyped. Not only did they leave out a fair portion of the hyped content (including small things like dx10 support), but they left out one of the most critical things to HAVE in a MMO....stats. They don't even have a working stat system, and that is by and far the single most pathetic thing I have ever seen.
I could probably swallow just about everything else they've done wrong BUT that. If the junky free to play guys can get a working stat system on a budget that would barely keep Mcdonalds open a day....I feel that Funcom should be able to as well.

Apart from the fact that now and then I get disconnected from the game (which is not a connection issue on my part) AOC seems to be running well and bloody good fun.

Point is not that who is running vista, but why advertised features not exist or is not enabled during release.
Their QA really is amateur hour over there. It's as though even the dev who does the change doesn't bother testing it out under normal conditions.
They fixed that minor bug which prevented you from getting anything if you clicked on a resource node while you were already harvesting. That's nice. However, if you get spawned on and attacked while harvesting (which happens all the time) that node often becomes completely useless, you can't harvest from it even if it is 100% full. By the time we get home I imagine virtually all the nodes will be broken unless you are lucky enough to spawn into a new instance.
The fans who are buying this commercial should know that even IF they would really plan this, it will take a "normal" company about 6 months ALFA and BETA testing before publishing. Are they really thinking they will stop the exodus in subscriptions with "paper" thoughts. Because first you have alfa testing, than Beta testing, then go live ! Or will they just alfa test on live servers ???

I am surprised they didn't repackage this socalled evolution and sold it back to us as an expansion. LOL.
I just don't get it, they all this time (and money) to deliver the game, and it still shipped without dx10, sieges, broken stats, severely lacking itemization and crafting (I only mentioning broken system, not bugs). And now out of the blue Funcom comes out with a long list of new features to be added 'soon'. How can that not strike you as odd (to say the least)?
Its simple. You promice all the features then take half of them out at release. That way later you can add them as "New Features". Instead of being honest and saying "While not what it was origionally going to be, we are pleased to tell you we will be attempting to make PvP meaningfull to an extent"
Another thing that really gets me is how they keep trying to say there launch was great. Sure money wise it was, you lied and decieved your customers into buying the game. Opening sales dont determin success in an MMO however, and you really pissed alot of people off. If you wanna go off sales then yes, AoC was a verry solid launch. Unless your a fanboi though, you look at the state of the game at launch and AoC was a complete fail!

The first part being your logical gamer. They hate AoC right now for everything it isnt. They want to play it and love it, but just cant in its current state.

I personally think it will pass the time nicely for a couple of months (and there is nothing better to play ATM) then I will do what I usually do.
Get bored.
Find another game to test / play.

If you actually read the reviews that gives AoC 8+/10, 80+/100(%) scores, you'll notice not a single reviewer has played more than a few levels outside Tortage. Go figure.
This update really sucks. It'd be much better if they'd complete and polish the game before adding more stuff/bugs.
