Hmm, I see he uses the same trackball as I do instead of a mouse (it is faster than a mouse)...

And I laughted at my friend who is about to get a 3rd computer and EQ2 account.

But the I dont want to rely on others attitude sucks, the guy should get a solo game instead then, the whole point of MMOs are doing stuff together with others.

He is not the first, and he wont be the last.

If you do some digging im sure you can find the other ppl, 4 others come to mind. I remember the first year or two a guy popped up that ran 40 accounts at the same time to raid MC, the forum drama back then was so freaking funny I nearly pissed myself.

About that guy.. how on earth can he control 36 characters, that is impossible, that must be a made up story.

Ever hear of Macros? Its not imposible at all, you can even have hardware side help by making the same classes do the same things at the same time by making them use the same mouse / keyboard + macros.

no there are special software that allowes you to multi box.

    he says he uses octopus...

basically it links all the hotkey to all the clients meaning you only have to click once to use an attack

so he only uses 4 classes that means he needs to only controle 4 toons at the same time and the rest will just follow automaticly.

I'm proud of this individual.  This is one more "stick it" to the raiders.  If only there could be more like this one developers would see raiding was unneccesary.  Unless publishers wanted more accounts that is.

Let the solo and single group content reign supreme!

    "raiding is hard " ?

    Or

"Raiding ,so easy a single person working multiple different characters ALL AT THE SAME TIME, can do it " ?

Kind of shines the light on what many reasonable people have been saying for years, that the only "hard" part about raiding, is organizing the people involved.

And know it seems, you dont even have to do that....

Really this guy is exhibit A with what is wrong with MMOs today.....They were originally created for people to play together not by yourself x36.......Im sure he is probably selling accounts, I cant possibly  see why anyone would pay 5400 dollars a year to play a video game........

Amazing, the best way to get all the gear and end game experience by far.

But i like playing with my friends.

In what is perhaps the most shining example of obsession and geekiness I have ever seen, a fella by the name of Bradster has 36 World of WarCraft accounts that he plays on 11 computers simultaneously. He mainly seems to be doing it because he doesn’t like to rely on so many other people to get a raid going, which includes attacking the Alliance capital cities, and on that front I can totally see where he’s coming from.
It costs me exactly $5711 in subscription costs per year with 36 accounts on the 6 month pay schedule. Not bad considering I’m looking at it like it’s a hobby and there are more expensive hobbies out there than World of Warcraft
When Wrath of the Lich King is released, I plan to be at the store when it opens and will purchase 36 copies of it. With tax, it should be about $1500 for all of them. Then the shaman are on their way to level 80 along with the priest, druid and mage

    A little excessive?

More proof of blizzards claim of 10 million subscribers is a farce.

    Better tell his wife that.

    See his website for details.

I am wasting my breath, but here goes: Dual-Boxing does not equal 40 year old, bald, unemployed,  500 pound virgin living in mothers basement (seems like I may have missed a few, but close enough).

Holy Wow!..I guess that's one of the best ways to make sure you get every drop during a raid :P

you know he cant be handling 36 chartacters without some "creative warez" I can applaud his determination and creativity but surely he has to be breaking a few EULA/TOS clauses.

I always thought I had seen everything, but THIS... wow, thats really jawdropping. What a madman.

The subscription may be just $5711/year, plus ~$1,500 for WotLK, but he's incurring quite a bit more in hardware expenses and electricity, more if he's cooling his play area like a server room (and he should be with all that hardware).  I'd be surprised if he wasn't playing on a business account on his ISP in order to handle the bandwidth limits imposed by many consumer accounts.  Hell, with that much hardware, I'd be playing in a server room with a raised floor, cabling, cooling, UPS', etc...

He doesn't raid, his characters are level 61 and they are wearing greens.

So he even fails at being a failure.  At first I thought it was pretty interesting but it turns out he's just another scrub, except this one has too much money for his own good.  I mean if you're gonna invest that much of your life into something at least let it be something you're good at.  Loser.

Right.  Good luck with that.  If you have any idea about how complicated 25 man encounters can be you will understand why he can't do it.

No matter what scrubs like to believe, showing up isn't the hardest part.  There are people who just aren't competent enough to play well and this is a perfect example.  He probably had to do this because he was so bad no guild would would take him.

Like I said, I was intrigued when the article said he raids alone, but it turns out he doesn't..  Any idiot can level multiple toons, this guy just took it to the extreme.  Total failure.

On the other hand.....spending insane amounts of money to play like....1 or 2 hours a day doesnt sound right either.

But hey, either way, its laughable :).
