This kind of crap is the reason I no longer play eq. These bastards with thier 5 or 6 accounts take thier bot group into the best camps and sit there all day and night, if you need something from where one of these bastards is sitting your just shit out of luck. Id bet allot of gold farmers have similar setups as this guy although probably not on the same scale.
Yes and Blizzard encourages this. I said it before and I said i again with their total lack of ethics and with some of the shit that they openly encourage on their Official forums Blizzard is heading to a bad end, fanbois can roll their eyes and say yeah sure all they want, Blizzard is on many many Radars right now and not in a good way.
It doesn't make a fart in a windstorm's difference. It's an instanced game. Ethics doesn't enter into it.
Both games have instancing sadly, but if someone is boxing outside of an instance, ethics does enter into it. Also games with instancing tend to have the worst economies because people can farm non stop without healthy competition. Obviously someone like this schmuck, can farm more difficult instances designed for real groups/raids that much more effectively.
I admire this much determinism. I hope doctors are the same way about curing cancer, charitable people in giving to the poor, and relief workers in helping provide food and clean water.
how does someone fail at life when they can afford to burn £360 on wow a month? I'd be willing to bet anyone who could afford that is more successful in real life than the ****** who makes fun of him from behind a computer.
Wrong. Is Paris Hiltion more successful than you or me? No, but her grandfather sure is.
Sometimes success isn't about what's in your bank account. This is one of those times.
If you have played WoW recently you will see mostly multiboxers. When I first started playing WoW people grouped all the time. Now it's all multiboxing through the early levels and even at the higher ones to an extent. I find this makes the game really boring to play. If he enjoys doing it then it's fine with me, but it somewhat ruins the game for me. I guess it doesn't matter as long as Blizzard gets their money.
Perhaps it would be better for companies to make it so every person can control a raid group over their own from one console and then raid and PvP against eachother leveling all their characters at once. At least there would be some interaction then and you wouldn't have to buy 30 accounts and 10 computers to get it.
Am I the only one amazed by the coordination shown by this player??
To be able to set all those players up to function in a structured manner is fantastic. Yes, a bit creepy, but I could see him trying it out, seeing the results, and then pushing it to whatever he can. This isn't simply about a guy who "has too much time on his hands", alot of people play WoW or whatever MMO too much to be unhealthy, but this goes beyond that. I would love to see a video demonstration of one of his raids...maybe even a screenshot of his "main", lol. I'm sure it's pretty decked out.
Would like to know what job he has....to be able to spend $5.711 a year on subscriptions, then you have the laptops and all that have been more than likely been brought FOR that purpose.
He must of won lotto.
But also saying that the reason he does it is because he dosnt like waiting and so forth for other people...thats anti social, a mmo should be social...well thats why i play it. not to play by yourself....36 times over!
gratz i guess, and good luck, just hope WOTLK goes good....

It's actually not that much money. Consider this.
He most likely lives either at home still (no need to pay rent/food) or lives in a rented out basement which can be quite cheap. Say he buses to work, then theres no car payment, insurance or gas to be bought.
So he would most likely just need to make enough to cover rent and pay for food with a little saving on the side. He could even work a job thats only like 4 days a week or something and still get by.
but it's still very pathetic and sad in my books, your gonna have to ackknowledge real life one day
Come on people, use your head, this it strictly someone idea of a gag. It is not physically possible to control that many accounts. I can't even imagine trying to control 5 accounts in a raid let alone more, although it has been done, but 10 man or 25 man raids. Not going to happen.
The people that do this use special hardware and software macros. So yes to a certain extent it's possible. He won't have to use evry keyboard. I even once tripped over a community site with forums that was dedicated to multiboxing with people sharing setup/software/hardware advice etc.
There is a program that is called keyclone which will send keystrokes to all the client Windows on your computer. If you have characters of the same class on each computer then one key press will be sent to all of them at once. That means you could frost bolt x5 or however many clients your computer can handle. I believe it's possible to do. I wouldn't find it enjoyable. I don't even like two boxing.
If he can effectively raid by himself when WoTLK comes out, he would probably be able to ebay those accounts for much more than he's put into them. In that sense, he is no loser.
Completely insane lol. Though, it really makes you wonder about those 10.9 mil they say they have for this game. I can imagine many others have serveral accounts as well.
It is an MMO and if a person wants to fill out a raid with their own toons, they have the right. I think it is absurd to do so unless you are doing it to make real life currency, which brings about issues with the EULA. I had enough trouble just being a tank, would hate to have to run my own healers, dps, and offtanks. Plus my wife would kill me when she saw the monthly subs, not to mention the expensive internet bill.
LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you spend that much money a year on a game, give me your money and Ill spend it on more important things......like my bills!!!
What's with all the stereotyping in this thread. Think logically about it. This person obviously got alot of money to spend so that mean he got a good job. First strike off the term 'no-good loser'. He got a wife, so he's not a virgin either. He built all that so he's quite handy aswell. He's just a regular geek like the rest of us, but with an hobby taken to the extreme. If you haven't got anything relevant to say, shut up, or go to youtube and post crap there. Atleast you be in good company with all those trolls.
Anyway, this guy is extreme. Seen people multibox from 6 characters to 20 something, but this is insane. Most I ever been able to multibox was 3. I did that manually though, no macroprogram or hardware helping me.

Touché the post above ends this thread :-)

Personally I would never use multiple accounts.
I'm a social person when I play these games so I never really felt the need do this.
Get some friends and raid, dont walk around with 2-26 accounts.
Playing: Nothing
Looking forward to: Nothing
My question is though, how the heck do you control 36 characters at the same time???
If he's raiding he's gotta be rather busy

And I thought the multi-character MUDs and MUD clients was bad. o_O
Excess much?

I'm guessing he likes to keep his lotion in a basket.
I make spreadsheets at work - I don't want to make them for the games I play.

Hahahaha, jesus christ, the humanity.
Well, the man can do what the hell he wants for all I care, I would pay to see him manage 36 keybords at the same time.
But I would reckon he will go sooner or later.
Well I really feel sorry for that guy if this is real.
He will probably die alone.

Its his money, I can think of worse things people do with their money.
