You would have to be pretty naive to believe that teens are not entering into sexual activities. Most of the teen pregnancies are due to the parents not doing their job to educate their children. Even worse the parents are drilling into their child’s mind about how wrong and dirty sex is forcing the kids to hide and lie.
As I said before, society needs to grow up and realize that the times are changing. We need to stop relying on the media and school teachers to educate our children. Do your job as a parent and tell them about safe sex practices and support them, don't push them away.

I understand what you are saying, but you are an adult and have had time to come to terms with your sexuality and no longer have to deal with the raging hormones of puberty. My stance is that overall I don't really feel the need for nudity in MMOs. But if it's there, I would want it to be equal between the sexes. If a female character's sexual parts can be seen by other players in the game, the same better damned well be true of the male character. I'm utterly sick of the double standard in games.

In contrast, the male avatars usually look like they're wearing a bag or tin can on their body. The model of the male avatar is some shapeless barrel or crazy-looking lump of muscle. In all of my gaming experience, there has been only one fantasy MMO where I thought the male models were somewhat nice looking and customisable and that was Vanguard after they rereleased character customisation.
As a female player who has been playing MMOs for years and years, I'm pretty fed up with the state of things. I hate making female characters because of how barbie-dollish they look: I don't like looking like a plastic tart who can swing a sword, even if it's just a fantasy game. Real life is different, it's nice to look sexy in real life, but in a video game where I'm playing an adventurer, I want to look like an adventurer Therefore my usual choice ends up playing a bag-or-tincan-wearing barrel. Thanks to the constant frictions of society, especially American society, with respect to sex and gender/sex relations means that when I do rarely make a female character, I have some utter hormonal idiot trying to hit on me. Would adding penis content into MMOs make this worse? I can't say for certain because it already sucks.
So if Rockstar feel that putting a pixelated dick in their video game is the way forward, at face value I don't mind at all. Seeing how female avatars and to an extent female players have been treated, it's about time men become sexualised in video games since I can't see women ever becoming less sexualised. Perhaps us female gamers need to be thrown a bone, so to speak. When AoC was being hyped up and advertised, it was the boobs factor that was emphasised. I know that you could see other bits, but no one cared about that. Yes, it's reprehensible that a video game company feels it has to market a game based off of 'shocking content' (but if we're mature and not naive, we'd catch on that such a splash in the headlines could mean hiding poor content and/or gameplay). You would have to be pretty naive to believe that teens are not entering into sexual activities. Most of the teen pregnancies are due to the parents not doing their job to educate their children. Even worse the parents are drilling into their child’s mind about how wrong and dirty sex is forcing the kids to hide and lie.
As I said before, society needs to grow up and realize that the times are changing. We need to stop relying on the media and school teachers to educate our children. Do your job as a parent and tell them about safe sex practices and support them, don't push them away.

I understand what you are saying, but you are an adult and have had time to come to terms with your sexuality and no longer have to deal with the raging hormones of puberty. I"m not sure I buy the argument that somehow a society is "civilized" if they allow a penis in a video game, but "uncivilized" if they don't.
It seems you are describing an idealized society where there is no sexual repression and everyone is ok with nudity, and it's just "natural", etc., etc.
Again, I'm not sure I buy the argument that this is ideal, the perfect society. By what standard? Our bodies are "natural", that is they occur in nature, that's true. But lots of things are natural. Watch Starship Troopers. It's on Hulu TV. It's a sci fi movie and hte characters are in the Marines. My stance is that overall I don't really feel the need for nudity in MMOs. But if it's there, I would want it to be equal between the sexes. If a female character's sexual parts can be seen by other players in the game, the same better damned well be true of the male character. I'm utterly sick of the double standard in games.
Getting onto the clothed vs naked debate, as GreenChaos pointed out, clothing is what sexualises the human body, not nudity. Most naked people are ugly in reality, a lot of the pretty people (usually women) you see in magazines and photos in the media are doctored images. In a video game, we would have that type of hypereality.
The way a lot of fantasy games are now, female avatars are overly sexualised because of their apparel: chainmail bikinis, tiny miniskirts that you can look up (Guild Wars Factions elementalist anyone?), clothing that emphasise tits and ass, whoreish make-up, bodies reminiscent of extreme plastic surgery, etc. The Asian ones are the worst because there is some implication that the female avatars are underage. In contrast, the male avatars usually look like they're wearing a bag or tin can on their body. The model of the male avatar is some shapeless barrel or crazy-looking lump of muscle. In all of my gaming experience, there has been only one fantasy MMO where I thought the male models were somewhat nice looking and customisable and that was Vanguard after they rereleased character customisation.
As a female player who has been playing MMOs for years and years, I'm pretty fed up with the state of things. I hate making female characters because of how barbie-dollish they look: I don't like looking like a plastic tart who can swing a sword, even if it's just a fantasy game. Real life is different, it's nice to look sexy in real life, but in a video game where I'm playing an adventurer, I want to look like an adventurer
Therefore my usual choice ends up playing a bag-or-tincan-wearing barrel. Thanks to the constant frictions of society, especially American society, with respect to sex and gender/sex relations means that when I do rarely make a female character, I have some utter hormonal idiot trying to hit on me. Would adding penis content into MMOs make this worse? I can't say for certain because it already sucks.
So if Rockstar feel that putting a pixelated dick in their video game is the way forward, at face value I don't mind at all. Seeing how female avatars and to an extent female players have been treated, it's about time men become sexualised in video games since I can't see women ever becoming less sexualised. Perhaps us female gamers need to be thrown a bone, so to speak. When AoC was being hyped up and advertised, it was the boobs factor that was emphasised. I know that you could see other bits, but no one cared about that. Yes, it's reprehensible that a video game company feels it has to market a game based off of 'shocking content' (but if we're mature and not naive, we'd catch on that such a splash in the headlines could mean hiding poor content and/or gameplay). In that sense, I would never buy GTA with or without virtual dong, but perhaps one day I can have an MMO that is more egalitarian in the treatment of male and female avatars because of it.
