Then by all means talk about the facts. Dispell falsehoods with actual truth. Show proof of your views if you call someone else wrong. In other words talk about the topics and not the people.
Don't run around here like an 8 year old calling people names, because you think they are wrong and you are right. That is the first sign of a defeated argument.
I do believe the burden of proof is on the accuser. It wasnt i that uncovered the great Sony conspiracy.
You're the one who called it a conspiracy. Since no one else did that -- what you are committing is well known fallacy -- misrepresentation of the other person's argument in order to argue something they are not arguing. YOU did such with the express purpose of another fallacy -- appeal to ridicule.
In those two instances you completely left the discussion and began a separate discussion of your own. That shifts the burden to YOU.
Best go and look, i called you a conspiracy theorist and i stand by that comment. I have never said Sony was behind some conspiracy, thats your job, with a little help from your friend.
So you are just here to attack and call people names, and then stand by them. Okayyyyyy.
You know Fisher, sometimes I wonder if the soaps and t.v. dramas take a hit in the ratings because of threads like this. We're stealing their audience! lol On the bright side, maybe drama-seekers will notice a nifty new game ad, try something out for the first time and have a really good time ^_^.
P.S. I'm ignoring folks that I think are trying to turn this into a flame war perhaps for the sole purpose of getting it locked. Some might consider it bad press. I think that's probably the only recourse left at this point, aside from just admitting, "gee yeah, Sony has had their share of ethical trouble." Like I said earlier though, this apparently creates some kind of intolerable cognitive dissonance. Whatevs, I think I made my case; I'm happy to live and let live.

what can be more fun lol
carry on lets try for another 10 pages at least before we get total forum lag and the thread gets locked for sucking mmorpg.com into an abyss. I have been on some forums with never ending threads lasting for weeks. Lets see if you can break some of the records I have seen so far its just a small thread I want to see more posts.... so post more!

And we owe much to you for your incredible contributions to the aforementioned numbers.
Personally, I this thread as kind of a tell tale tape of motives and addictions. Each to their own and neither side is going to change. Nor will Sony as long as they are given carte blanche for their abuse of customers.
I believe sony did wrong, so what do i get for saying that?
or should i not do business with companies who do bad things?
If thats the case how many companies are left for me to do business with that have never done anything wrong?
And should i really care either way? since we are on the topic of Sony i can say right now Sony has never done anything wrong to me, so should i really care about what has happened to others?
Now i wouldn't be blind to it, and i would understand there is a chance they could do something bad to me but i'm just trying to figure if i should really give a damn what has happened to others.

Won't use a real life example because like everyone says - its just a game.
That being said, when you concentrate only on yourself and not what happens to everyone else - say in a class or mmo profession then you help contribute to the problem by not holding them accountable for their behavior. Say a dev nerfs the snot out of a warrior class. Why should you care...you are a priest. But suddenly when there is no unified protest or accounting - you will find that its only a matter of time before the thief comes to your house because you didn't care what happens to the rest of the neighborhood.

I think you give yourself to much credit, because honestly you are not that clever. Actually you are very transparent.
