point taken but i still don't see why you are all bent out of shape about it. Thats all the more ill say on that bit of the subjuect. I still am totally for blizzard until someone makes a warhammer game that doesn't suck (that also isn't the tabletop game). To clarify it better be better than the blizzard version of the game type. Until then Blizzard > * for me.
Definitely showed me up but its also very much a subject I would just shrug and move on about.
No, I'm not arguing the fact that Blizzard doesn't know how to make great games, because they do. So much so that their fans have allowed them to do a piss poor job in coming up with original material in the past.
The truth of the matter is the way I see it, Games Workshop was the ones that messed up and pulled out on the deal they had with Blizzard in making their RTS.
We could have had World of Warhammer instead, which I guarantee would have been an even more exceptionally better game considering how enriched the lore in Warhammer is compared to the paper thin cut out version that Warcraft turned out to be.
And to all those SC fans, imagine how bad ass War40K would have been if that was turned into an RTS or even an MMO Blizzard made.
In that respect, Games Workshop messed that up and now we're stuck with Vigil making War40K online....>>

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2
the game is so bad it hurts. Dawn of war 1 was better and still not as good as starcraft.

Some gamers will no doubt hate the new direction they've taken but the game is much improved and definitely deserves its fair share of love. While it still early, I wouldn't hesitate to nominate it for PC Game of the Year honors come December.

Sure, but i can understand if you were looking for a traditional RTS like starcraft, you would be disappointed. It plays a lot more like Company of heroes, with out the building component.

Ok, so the next thing from Blizzard isn't Starcraft, or any other existing IP. It's something new. Has any development team struck gold twice? Not really. Most dev teams that have released a great game in the past have not done so well on their second release. WAR is a good example. DAoC? Loved it. WAR? Not so much. But nobody has the millions of subscribers Blizzard does with WoW, so maybe they will be the ones to do a great sequel.
