Ill list a couple pros and cons of both games, I for one quit WoW out of boredom, but im getting my entire guild of 200 people from Maelstrom server to convert to Aion, atleast 100 have it pre ordered at the moment

    World of Warcraft
    Pros:          • Massive Popularity/Community
                        • Fun for most levels
                        • Good PvP
                        • Addicting
                        • Great Backstory

    Cons:         • Life Consuming
                        • Boring if played to much
                        • Wrath of the Lich King made leveling to hard for casual players and to easy for hardcore players
                        • The alliance and horde are very unbalanced depending on the server.
                        • No communication with the other faction
                        • Support takes 1-2 days to help with anything
                        • Armor looks bad up until the 40s or so
                        • Battle animations are repetative and bland
                        • Quests are repetative, most not intresting

    Aion
    Pros:          • Graphically Amazing
                        • Combat is Eye Catching
                        • Leveling is easy at first to get into it, than gets to be hard, but stays fun
                       • Armor looks great even at lower levels
                       • Character creation Is amazing, virtually limitless
                      • Enviroments are interactive, catching fish in a pond, putting an umbrella on to block rain, etc.
                      • In game cutscenes for alot of the quests, makes them intresting
                      • Great Backstory
                       • Great graphics but can be played on lower graphics cards well, down to a nvidia 5500

Cons:       • Cultured more towards asian countries, could hurt american and european population
                      • NCsoft has not had the best track record with keeping population (city of heroes for instance)
                      • Lack of american OPEN beta
                      • Lack of races might seem as a con to WoW players

ok i came back nd quit wow shortly after lich expansion and now on CO.But man whats are you talking about? All mmorpg are life consuming so hardly a thing to hold against wow in particular. Also the direct opposite is true of the lich expansion.Levelling is stupidly easy at casual level and instances are not worth it for levelling up unlike vanilla WoW.Do the quests and forget those instance and revisit at 80 when done at heroic.

One of the major complaints some players even have about lich expansion is that its too casual player focused and casuals can do pug raids with ease now for epics.

Not trying to blow WoW horn ,i don't play it anymore and with 10 million people doubtt my comments or sub makes a big dent on it .I gone CO myself due to boredom over the EQ like games around.
